WeatherSTAR Tech Support / IS2 31471 Extended Outage

Hello STAR team. The Intellistar 2 in Frankfort (31471) has been out for the past 4 or 5 days. I would have reported earlier, but since our IS2 will commonly go out for 1 or 2 days then come back, I didn't think much of it. Could you guys look into it? Thanks.

Is anyone besides me seeing the satellite L-bar, whereas the local IntelliSTAR L-bar hasn't been cuing at all today?
I noticed that earlier with my IS2. Got the national squeezeback and a local LDL.

So are they still doing this for science or just to catch video of a tornado?

Just to catch video of a Tornado and show it Live.
Which is an unnecessary expense and risk, even for trained meteorologists...

I really like how this reflects the new WUWA and YWT themes... I wouldn't be surprised if they relaunched DP and the other shows like this.
Yeah, I kind of expect them to relaunch the other shows like this just to maintain some sort or graphical continuity.

A TWC TOTAL redesign concept. It is a bit based on the promos for Ice Pilots and Turbine Cowboys. Like TWC is shifting to, it makes heavy use of the Frutiger font family, specifically the "Ultra Black" weight, which is used for some of TWC's titlebars. Still working on the lower thirds. And the color of the temperature/conditions box would change based on the temperature. Like blue for 30s, yellow-green for 40s, green for 50s, etc.

Also, to respond to some of you, I can't imagine that TWC will be developing a new STAR, considering they just released the IS2 a couple of years ago.  This "new platform" almost sounds like the squeezeback will be the new "LOT8s."  This does not explain what the fate will be of the IS2; can't believe they would ditch something like that so quickly, unless it's got to do with money.

And, unless TWC gains great profits from it, I don't think the playlist disappearing would matter to the company or the average viewer.  I know some might miss it, but I don't think that's their primary concern. ;)

I believe that the new STAR there developing would probably be used only on the SD channel to replace the aging Inteillistar. I don't think the squeezeback will replace the LOT8s and will probably be used in Long-form programs.
Why would TWC release a new SD-only STAR? Think about it, they could possibly save TONS of money by having cable companies show the HD feed (letterboxed, similar to CNN and Fox News) on the SD channel if they have an IS2. Not to mention that, yes, the Intellistar is aging but, it's built on much better technology and hardware than 4000s and XLs were, they were built to last, and they will last.

Joe Paterno has passed away.  :(  Former Penn State head football coach, who was there for many decades. RIP Joe.
According to a family spokesperson and Joe's son, he is still alive but in critical condition...
