That has got to be the DUMBEST idea in the world. Makes no sense at all. But, look who it's coming from, NBC, who has the BEST ideas ever.Because they are America's Biggest Loser!

Guys, Breaking News if your NBC Station is an O&O (just got this from a local meteorologists blog): NBC, which owns the Weather Channel, is considering a move to replace the local weathercasters on the stations they own with mets from the Weather Channel. NBC owns 10 TV stations in the large cities. This move would save money but sacrifice the local flavor of the weather. Here is what the Executive VP of Programming of NBC said.... "We're examining it. We have to figure it out. We haven't yet. But there is clearly the opportunity to do that. I can tell you we're looking at that opportunity."
This could be the future of local TV weather. Large companies would supply local forecasts for a number of different stations around the country.
Care to offer some "proof" of that news?
