Variety reporting this morning that Weather Group has been acquired from Comcast, Bain Capital and Blackstone Group by Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / More Problems with IS2 #31471?

For three or four weeks now, it seems that Frankfort's Intellistar 2 has been just about completely inoperable. I'm not sure if it just needs a reboot, or if it's some sort of technical/equipment issue or if the cable company has somehow/for some reason removed the STAR (if that's possible). I know there's probably a lot going on with the new format/graphics rolling out and everything, but if you guys could check if it's not too big an inconvenience, that would be great! Thanks.

Hello STAR team. The Intellistar 2 in Frankfort (31471) has been out for the past 4 or 5 days. I would have reported earlier, but since our IS2 will commonly go out for 1 or 2 days then come back, I didn't think much of it. Could you guys look into it? Thanks.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / IS2 31471 Interstate Shield error plus a couple of city change requests

Hello STAR team. Today when I hooked up my kitchen's HD TV to my cable box via HDMI and I saw my IS2, I noticed an interstate number/shield error as shown in the pictures below.




The interstate in question on the map is Interstate 55. I-55 there should be Interstate 64. Can this be changed? All other interstate shields on the map are correct.

Also can Means be changed on our metro/regional map to something like Mt. Sterling or Richmond? Means is not a very big community, in fact, I didn't even know there was a town called that until we got our IS2.

A couple more changes that would make sense. Can Williamstown be changed to Owenton and Bedford be changed to La Grange or Charlestown? It seems this map would make more sense with some cities and towns that are more widely known. I sloppily put together this "concept map" of what would be moved where if this is possible.



I understand if this cannot be done and I don't want to sound pushy, but thank you in advance if you can.

Hello, STAR team, I was just wondering what happened to FPB's IS2. ID: 31471

We had some thunderstorms overnight and it was not producing a local forecast or LDL this morning, and I've been check since tonight's round of storms and it's still out. Do you know what may have happened? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I'd just like to point out that according to FPB's website, TWC is being moved up one channel to 33 sometime early today, is there a way to have the ID screen updated? Thank you for your time.

I know we all hate Lamarr, but this time he has gone to a level of threatening some members of the forum. According to

that video he has a "top five most wanted list" Including me, Josh, Martin, Gil, and Gary. Josh seems to be his main target (He said the National Guard would have to hold him back from getting at Josh), he happened to send Josh this message:

At least I get p***y and d**k on the daily. You don't. So, quit your middle school bull****. Oh yeah, I do suck d**k, but I don't for your peoples. I'm not a f*****g prostitute or a gold digger, but when you people come along, I will take your money and run. Damn, it feels good to be a f****t!

I am tempted to tell his local authorities. This is a matter I will not Stand for and i'm sure Gary (sorry if this ticks you off) or Martin wouldn't either.
