Well, I got my new cable box. It is a "revamped" DCT2000. I like it better then my other DCT2000 I own. This one actually looks nice on a HDTV, and not all stretched. It also have Dolby Digital integrated, unlike my other one.

And as for Xfinity. I honestly can't wait for it to be debuted in the Lansing media market. It'll be a change from the Comcast branding. Same company, but whatever.

I like the idea of this, but I say it should go on the LDL or on another segment then it's own. The LDL would be the best area for this in my opinion... but it is a great idea! We get high rivers in Lansing/East Lansing alot... it'd be nice

Reminds me of the issue with kerligirl13 last month. But what the  , that's just disturbing yet horrible at the same time.

Yeah, It is also kinda mean how his brother takes videos of his freak outs and posts them on youtube.. But yeah.. going nuts like that over his mom cancelling his World of Warcraft account is over doing it IMO..

Noting the words ORIGINAL VIDEO on the title, were the original videos deleted?

I don't know.. I guess just a lot of people were doing mock ups, copies, and spoofs on youtube or something..

You forgot to count the XL in Willow Grove, PA. 

I think Michigan probably has the most, but I couldn't tell you. I don't even like the XL much anymore. I'm in love with the IS.

Michigan probably does have many more XL's, maybe in Ludington, Manistee, Manistique, Newberry, Munising, Escanaba or possibly more.

I think the same thing, yet Escanaba has an IntelliStar to my understanding. Not positive, but Michigan does have more XLs... I know it.

I have heard that DirecTV is much, much better then Dish. But, if it's for the money, I'd say it's a better value.Dish offers free HD (to my understanding), 1 or 2 free HD recievers, and a pretty low price. You may benefit from it

As far-fetched as this may sound I am making a XL radar map. I have found some old files I worked on and I'm basically halfway done. If in the final product I am able to provide an efficient and accurate map would you be willing to implement it into the emulator? Only thing I see wrong here is that the radar shows the lower frequencies of precipitation... like the blues and the greys

And one thing with Comcast is that they try to suck every dime and nickel out of you. They are charging us 8 dollars to rent a box. Sure, not that bad, but for one of the crappiest packages that they can give us (no HD), it totals up to 100$ a month. To add the HD service, they charge 15-20$ here. Ohh, how much I hate money

And aside from that, I bought a new cable box from them to replace the DTA I have on my TV in the basement. I most certainly hope it isn't this one (look at attached picture). I want a clock on it! lol

You should be getting 1 SD box + 2 DTAs for free, then additional boxes at the additional outlet fee (here it's $8/mo).  HD service here is only $7/mo as well (used to be $7/outlet, but that changed within the last couple months).  Also your bill shouldn't be $100/mo on the basic package without HD - unless you have Internet with them.  My current bill is $137 with the Starter+Internet bundle, $9.99 Preferred promotion, and HD (1 DTA/1 HD box, so no additional outlet fees).

And for all things holy, don't rent a modem from Comcast.  Spend the $50 or so up front and buy your own box.  10 months and you've already paid for it.

You will be getting the same STAR with the DTA/boxes as you had before.

Never have I said that I wouldn't be getting the same STAR

the signal gets blurry at times.

I've had  people who upgraded 6 months ago tell me that.

I AM a bit of a Technophobe, but I would'nt be so irate if it went smoother, or if people in Comcast's customer service/tech support actually knew what they were talking about.   

I have yet to see one benefit to this.

Customer support is key in transitions like this! Comcast hasn't been the gold star winner in that category! haha

For me, the biggest thing that pisses me off with this transition is activating the equipment, and the problems with the equipment. I set up a Motorola DCH100 for my neighbors, and Comcast decided to screw up yet again with the M-Card I believe... so it kept flashing this red box with a string of errors and memory references... but oh well. I'll be open to change.

I find it very interesting how the IS can revert back to icons in any of these circumstances. I guess its just how they updated it

or they don't like the changes TWC has done to them so they get a mind for themselves and revert back. 

My money is down on that
