Agreed 100%. I can't stand iTunes 10 and that "Ping" crap. What is the use of it? I'm sure I wouldn't want it saying every song I purchase to my friends and what not... if they will even use this Ping crap, that is.The new iTunes software also consume more memory space and CPU, which can really slow down your computer. Not to mention the store takes a minute longe to load nowAmen. Here are my thoughts
1. iPod Touch- Decent upgrade
2. iPod Nano- Lame. Sorry I can not see a UI like that being great to navigate. Touch screens aren't the answer to everything
3. iPod Shuffle- Its like a time warp! After Apples failed buttonless design they went back to what people liked and bought.
4. Apple TV- Complete Fail. Its a Roku box with LESS features! Big miss on Apple to actually make this product interesting. Could have had apps or so much more.
5. iOS Updates- Good.
6. iTunes. WTF! Same old clunky interface. I would have thought by version 10 they would have done some big changes. Nope. Instead we get a lame social network services that is walled preventing you from linking it to Facebook or Twitter.
From what I understand, the hardware in the domestic IS is identical to the hardware on the Weatherscan IS. The only difference is the installed software. So yes, I believe in theory it would be possible by swapping out the hard drives in each unit.Correct
Here's a picture of the 8540 and some of the screens. I get the same blue Atlanta Scientific boot screen in the above posts.![]()

This is exactly the same screens I have on my box. I agree it looks like something out of the 80s, not 2010.
Also, my box takes just as long as billy's to boot up. I dont understand why motorla's boxes can boot up in about 30 seconds but these take so long.
For me, It also starts on the 7th as well impI have class tomorrow impI don't start school until September 7 imp.![]()
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2xxx. I forget the exact model number, it's something like 2200 or 2400.
Finally got around to looking at the box, and it's a 2200 series. I don't use it much, but it has some problems; it seems pretty sluggish.
Here's the boot screen, which I caught by accident. I was recording Weatherscan, and I bumped the power cord on the box, and it did a hard reboot. It was stuck on the blue bootscreen for about 5 minutes.
My provider is Cincinnati Bell Fioptics. Boxes are the Cisco (formerly Scientific Atlanta) 8540 HDC and 8640 HDC. Those are both fairly recent, but the software looks like it was made in the 1980s.
I have a very high heat tolerance. 110-115 I can stand, but higher then that WITH humidity... let's say it's a day in the air conditioningI get 8 every day, sleeping at 11-11:30 and wake up at 7-7:30 in the morning.I can barely stand 95°I would say today has been incredibly hot. In my first two days back in IVC, I'm glad there were a lot of cooling areas open since the College Center and the Library are always packed. Last year nor the year before they never had that. Tempratures have reached 115 + yesterday and today. Today would be one of the worst, because there have been a lot of ambulances everywhere around campus. We never had an excessive heat warning this summer at all until now.My goodness! How can people live in those kind of temperatures?
Easy. You have to be a veteran of the valley to withstand these temperatures. I can go on a day with temps in the 100's but not the 110's. I've been living here for 3 years, and I still can't stand the 110's.Actually, Forbes Magazine said that based on trends that Louisville was the hottest city in the US this summer (at least compared to average)
Have you found any other hosts yet? When did that server hacking occur?Server hacking?
I've never had that problemVery nice indeed however some imagery comes up nullWunderground has an amazing archive though. You can literally go back years and pick any day or time and see the radar imagery for your area. Very coolWell yeah, true.Wunderground's radars are better than the NWS's!
Aesthetically, yes. In terms of the actual radar, they're the same.
That's nothing, the age restrictions in mi may be different then in fl
