Speaking of power outages, there's one right now for where I am. I'm lucky to have power. Traffic lights are out, grocery stores are without power, and so on.

Sad to hear that, Martin :( My grandmother is currently battling breast cancer right now. She goes into surgery tomorrow I believe. So I can feel your pain (to some extent. As heart breaking as cancer is, I can't imagine how it would feel to have someone pass on). I wish you the best, Martin! :thumbsup:

We've had a few tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms so far this year. Supposed to be getting some this afternoon. But sorry to fray from the topic (hate doing that), but do any smartphone users here use ICS? I just flashed a custom kernel on my Samsung Captivate to install an Android ICS 4.0.3 rom (as Samsung doesn't support ICS for it -_-) I'd like to say I am fairly impressed!

Thank you guys! It's so hard for me to believe that I have been lurking around on these forums since I was eleven or so. And it is great to have made the friendships that I have here! I also thank you guys for being good friends to me... truly means a lot! :-)

Dumbasses these days. A trash can was lit on fire today in the boy's restroom during the last period of the day at school It stunk up the hall too and boy I had a hard time breathing. :rolleyes: Thank heavens I'm not asthmatic. :itsok:

* Zach ends rant
...and the same thing happened in the same bathroom today, only during the 4th period of the day and not the last period.. :rolleyes:
I'm pretty late on this, but the same thing happened here last year. They set the trashcan on fire, and they got it on tape (of them walking into the restroom and walking out). They didn't even get suspended :hammer:

My highest score was somewhere around 115 or so (can't exactly remember... but up in that range). I went bowling last about three weeks ago.

I am glad SOPA is dead. The rep that introduced the bill is "revising" it. Let us see how much bull :censored:  comes from it this time.
SOPA and PIPA aren't dead. Sure, it's tabled for now... but like what Matt said, they most likely will pass them on a Friday or on a holiday.

Despite our government's serious flaws, there's no country I'd rather live in. And as for it's flaws...we've got no one to blame but ourselves. We're the one's that elect these people. We've been "asleep" for a pretty long time. And the amount of information the average voter still doesn't know about our government is pretty scary. Many don't even know who the candidates are. How can you vote if you don't know their names, let alone their positions!? :censored:
Simple: People don't pay attention to their plans and their history. All they care is that it's on their political party. :rolleyes:
If only we listened to George Washington when he said not to make political parties :biggrin:

In the current state of Washington, I completely hate this country. Sure... it's better than many, but they aren't even representing the majority of their citizens anymore (in my view, that is). It's all about their fat paychecks... not what matters for this country.

I guess it really doesn't matter anymore. Apparently federal agents can take down a massive internet site in another country and arrest everyone connected to it on shady grounds at whim. This case with Megaupload is astounding.
And that shows that this bill isn't even needed. If they can do it, why shove legislation down our throats that will cause more damage, even though we already can take down the websites?
Yes. Remember, the government doesn't care what we think anymore.
I hate our government more than anything. That's all I will even say. I hate, hate, HATE it.
