I'm not sure if this applies to tropical storms and depressions, but as a reminder, pressure has not had an impact on categorization of a storm since 2010, but instead, just the winds.

OT: Trevor, how do you know about Dennis Phillips?! If you're referring to the chief meteorologist of WFTS in Tampa that is.

For realz? You mean contact Ryan Farish to see if he can get TWC to air it? This is the first I've heard about that but sounds interesting.
No, I think he means contact the wx chan to get the song on but i doubt its gonna work

I'm no weather expert, but I am going to assume that it's an effect of La Niņa, just like last year. Patrick, feel free to correct me if I am wrong, though. :P

General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch

I don't mean to sound condescending, but to prevent the factor that I never lose videos, I always create 2-3 backups of them on a periodic basis to ensure if I ever close my account and reopen it or I delete a video by accident, I can always re-upload it.

I heard at first that the moving of Stephanie Abrams to New York was just "experimental", but I guess because it's working out, it seems more permanent..

Yeah, you're right. However, even if it isn't the same unit, they are just about 80 miles away from each other, which is remarkable for a legacy STAR of it's kind.
No, not necessarily.. there are plentiful amounts of areas with more than one 4000 within 20-50 miles of each other.
