« on: November 12, 2008, 08:26:55 PM »Well, this has been interesting. The objective? To record the Final Jeopardy sometime in the next two weeks on the HD/digital signal to get a uber-high quality copy of the R&RJ! Think cue.You stole my idea.
The process:
- fancy desktop tuner, fancy graphics card, uber-fancy monitor, and shitty Windows Vista don't play nice. Monitor blinks, has seizures, tuner can't tune channels.
- Bust out the laptop and my Hauppauge 950 USB tuner for only it's second run since buying it in June. Unscrew the coax cable from the desktop and plug it into my USB tuner (hooked into fancy powerful antenna).
- USB tuner tunes channels, and picks up two more channels I didn't have before(!!!!).
- Switch to the small portable antenna that comes with it, and *still* get the channels (normally I'd need the plug-in one.)
- Head asplodes.
But I was going to record it until my tuner locked up.
