So it seems the instrumentals that were playing have been confined to the Overnight list only. :itsok:

DirecTV has been simulcasting their headend ads on both SD and HD since 2009, however, before then, it was just the SD feed and the HD feed during the headend ad slot got the national filler commercials by TWC.

The Lexus Christmas gift commercial, mainly because I like the music on it. Have a look at it.

That's a parody, not a real commercial...
It says it's a commercial parody at the top. What's the difference between that and a commercial?
You seriously don't know the definition of the word parody?! Just apply the definition to the meaning of the title...

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Hey guys, i have 2 cable providers.
« on: September 09, 2012, 01:11:32 PM »
It's not unusual. I think Fawn Grove, PA has two different cable companies too. Armstrong Communications and another one that escapes me but one has the XL, and the other has the 4000.
No, they only have Armstrong.. the XL serves Fawn Grove. Armstrong in Bel Air, MD has a 4000 but gets a TWC signal via QAM from Fawn Grove.

The 10 AM ET intro of Weekend View used the 2010-2011 theme for WV :P and in the intro Mike Seidel accidently said "Weekend Now" but corrected himself to say "Weekend View"

Looks like they forgot about the vocals :P Wednesday has long passed
Well, they do have "Can't Find My Way Home" by Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood on the playlist but I'm not sure if that really warrants being classified as a "vocal" song since the vocals in the time of the song chosen are maybe only 20-40 seconds.

WUWA is such a silly show. I've talked to the TV before when Stephanie Abrams is talking about other things besides weather and I said, "Just report the weather, for crying out loud!" She often gets off the subject of weather during WUWA.

But The Weather Channel was founded to be a cable network entirely devoted to weather 24/7 with periodic documentaries about certain weather topics, hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, etc.

The difference is TWC isn't independently owned anymore,if they still were that might still be true today, but TWC/NBC/Comcast as a whole don't care about that except only when it financially suits them like it did with Isaac for example.
That's ashamed and sad. :(
I hope you realize that TWC is a profit company and that in order for them to make money they have to experiment with stuff such as getting Al Roker on the channel and using vocal music during the forecasts to see if they gain viewers.. so far that seems to be working or else they would have reverted back to their older ways. .

Also, I hope everyone here realizes that we (as the TWC fan community) accomodate for >1% of TWC's audience as a whole.. I'm not stopping you from voicing your opinions but based on how I'm perceiving some of the complaints here, it's making me think that you guys think that we are a majority of TWC's viewership, when in reality, we aren't.

I dont really think the vocals are a distraction from the narration.. both the IntelliStar and the IS2 duck down the national TWC audio when narration is playing.
