Everything Else TWC / Re: Blooper Thread
« on: October 12, 2012, 05:46:08 PM »
Can someone explain how that second blooper is possible? I'm running all these scenarios in my head to figure out how they managed that. hahaha

Pretty cool to say the least.
Seeing as Jen Carfagno was present, she was in the Atlanta studio while Al was in the NYC studio (which has a green screen now).

I understand that part, how is it possible that they utilized both green screens at once.
Oh, didnt know what you meant :pinch: It could be possible that Jen was keyed into a map shown from NYC's end? Not sure if all switching is done down in Atlanta or partially done in NYC and partially done in Atlanta..

Help and Support / Re: Harmonic Tides - Invalid Location?
« on: October 12, 2012, 05:11:19 PM »
I hope you didn't mind me doing this, but I changed the tides to match the locations set on the local IS here. But now I'm getting the local weather unavailable screen :hmm: And I was too when you made the change

Help and Support / Harmonic Tides - Invalid Location?
« on: October 12, 2012, 03:53:23 PM »
Hey Brian, thanks for fixing the issue with the extended forecast! However, I am noticing another new issue coming up. In CINE, when I try to get tides configured, I follow the directions as follows, but then at the top I get an error in red that says "Location, "<location>" can't be found! Try copy/paste method.", and I am copying/pasting the title.

Thanks!

OCMs & Personalities / Re: So Long Adam Berg
« on: October 11, 2012, 08:11:02 PM »
Looks like another OCM has been layed off, everybody. No more diving into the forecast and taking Chooseday off, gang. :(

It was certainly funny to watch Adam Berg, especially in 2008 and 2009 when OCMs were able to have personalities.

Yes, I like the Wunderground maps :)

Also Brian, since I created a new user account.. I made the configuration to match my old CINE account and on the old CINE account you got the Extended Forecast to work for my area, but since I configured it to the new account it's showing up as blank again :hmm: can that be looked into as well? ID is Zach

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: The Pot Belly Stove

I was listening to my new age station on Pandora this morning, and it was playing a song by Yanni. While listening to the song, I couldn't help but notice how much it sounded like another new age song I knew. It took a few minutes, but it finally hit me. It sounds a lot like Ryan Farish's "Sunshine In The Rain." Listen to clips of the two songs below and tell me I'm not crazy.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007HV93OY/ref=dm_dp_trk1?ie=UTF8&qid=1349888150&sr=301-2

Judging from the release dates, I'd say Yanni owes Ryan some dough! :o
It may just be me, but that sounds a bit more like "Atlantica" than "Sunshine in the Rain"

Help and Support / Radar Maps?
« on: October 10, 2012, 04:26:31 PM »
Hey Brian, I'm not sure if this is an issue you can fix or not, but the radar maps seem to be using the actual maps instead of the Satellite imagery maps.

Thanks if you can look into it.

EDIT: Btw, my user ID is Zach.

Because people don't have better things to do in their spare time: http://news.cnet.com/8301-10797_3-57528398-235/peta-wages-war-on-pokemon-for-virtual-animal-cruelty/

This kind of violent video game needs to be banned... Condoning animal abuse is wrong.
Pokémon isn't that violent, though! If you mean the actual franchise yeah Ill disagree unless you mean the propaganda shown in the article

Is Dish in the middle of another one of those stupid contract disputes? I've been seeing commercials on TV about certain TV shows/channels not being available on Dish. One of the most recent cases I saw was with our NBC affiliate and sister station MyAtlTV where they were saying subscribers to Dish should call in by midnight last night if they didn't want to lose those channels.
When disputes happen between providers and local channels, it's usually the owner of the channel that causes the blackout to occur, not the channel itself.

Daniel caught the "ominous" song on a 2:00 LF

TWC Local on the 8s Song from August 2012 #12

I am pretty sure the name of this song on the list is "Outer Self" by Arwed Hauf
but  it is renamed for use on TWC. It's actually called "Inner Shower" and can be found here:  http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=86134&mediaID=566343&play=true
Nice find! Not only on the identification but on the location of purchase!!

The time-in TWC used is 4 minutes and 15 seconds
