Local Forecast / Re: January 2010 Playlist
« on: January 14, 2010, 07:24:44 PM »
There are waaaaay too many repeats on this playlist.

:nono: I think Stone Groove is actually becoming the next Restless Heart, moreso than Bodhi. Over the last year, I am sure it has played on at least 3 playlists. It is not Boney James' best song. I like Nothin But Love, from back in the day, but I have not heard it on the Weather Channel yet!!!! :dunno: Maybe I have to tape it in the daytime, or something. I like Eminence Front by the Who. To be honest, I never recall listening to anything by the Who, but I downloaded, and it is really good. It is kind of funky too. But there has not been a consistently good playlist since April/May 2009.  A song I do wish they would bring back is King of the Burgs by Lettuce. That is a jam! If I were to rate this playlsit, I would give it 6 out of 10, and it got extra points for the Shaft theme.
If you can make a video, can you please post it here? I'd like to see what the other Tampa IntelliSTAR is like. I'm from Tampa myself.

Okay, TWC played way too much of Gooding last year... give their music a break already. <_<
They better not put any Barry White or Love Unlimited Orchestra on this list either. <_<

What happened to Molly? I haven't heard from her in well over a week. I hope everything's okay.
Remember she's in another country? :ermm:

Sorry if I sounded rude. ;)

The worst song on the list is "Best of Times" by Yvonne Ayers.

The internet is horribly slow here... was noticeably faster before the school year began
I have trouble loading videos in the evening and mornings, and I think my internet speed is part of why I had been having trouble attaching files to TWC Today. Before I went up north and to Alpena, it only took me 3 minutes or so to upload a video. Nowadaze I usually takes 10-20 minutes, sometimes 5 if I'm lucky. Part of it could be how much data I am sending and downloading through the internet, but come on, it's Comcast Cable internet! I'm trying to convince my mom to pay for higher speeds, but that isn't turning out too well.
Is Verizon available in your area? I know people have a better experience with their internet.
No, AFAIK it's not. My mom claims though that a couple who worships at the church (who live out in Grand Ledge) have Verizon FiOS phone, so I'm not sure.

Okay now I am having a lot of trouble loading pages on my laptop... they keep stopping

Check task manager and see if the browser your using is being a memory hog

Both FF and GC are both hogs on my comp and are "Not Responding" alot
Hmm okay, thanks for the tip.

Also, is anyone else getting this erro? It is starting to piss me off....
That just happens in IE8 and can stop if you change browsers.

Hi all! Long time no see! And wow has the forum changed (and grown!) since I was last here! Hope everyone's been doing well. I've been great myself. My life has changed a bit once again, and it looks like I'm gonna have some time to spend at TWCT once again!

I'm glad to see the forum doing so well, and I look forward to being a part of it again!  B)

And to those who don't know me, I'm Gary. I'm the original owner and founder of the site and the original admin of the forum. I stepped away awhile ago because I just didn't have time to spend here. I handed things over to Martin, and he and his staff seem to be doing an excellent job if I might say so.  Good work you guys! Keep it up!  :)
Welcome back Gary! I missed you too! B)

I like Vista's MM, but why I can't use it is because it saves files as 25 MB as where 2.6 saves them at 8 MB with the same quality, and I can't make TWC HD videos because Vista's MM doesn't "squash" 4:3 recorded videos into 16:9, unlike MM 2.6.
