http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KVDF.html
Still happening again this morning but its reporting 30.. WTVT actually removed the temperature for KVDF off of their map haha  However it still shows up in their online graphic (which must be a bit older)

1. I can code in PHP
2. I don't own a radio scanner
3. I live east of Tampa

It's gotta be #2

No, Bain Capital owns a portion of The Weather Company, LLC.

VDF is an AWOS-3 station, so the NWS cannot fix it in any way :hmm:

Quick question for everybody here: Was anyone's IntelliSTAR and/or Weatherscan affected by this morning's DST switch?   Usually these units glitch during each DST switch but earlier this morning it didn't seem to affect the STAR units at all
If TWC was live at both 1 AM EDT and 1 AM EST, then there was probably no effect. Two years ago, they were live at 1 AM EDT but had longform at 1 AM EST and at 1 AM EST, IntelliStars nationwide were cuing on the '8s as if it was live programming.

Just caught the tail-end of an interview with a so-called election expert conducting by Jenn Carfagno on the effects of weather on this election. I could not believe the guy when he said Sandy will favor Obama because he has handled the storm so well. That's contrary to what I've been hearing. Is the TWC becoming a political animal?  Please bring back the good ole days.
I saw that as well. It seems that TWC has a pro-liberal bias.
As does NBC in general.

Nick isn't as much of a veteran to TWC as Cantore is. Surely he's a veteran, but there are OCMs who have been with TWC longer than him such as Vivian Brown, Jim Cantore and Kim (Perez) Cunningham.

Courtesy of Zach, who found these images......

WHY is this stuff always posted when TWC IS doing it's JOB????????
I hope you realize these images are from months ago and are just now being posted onto the forums.. they were also meant to convey a bit of humor about TWC has been as of late (prior to the events of Sandy)

I'm with Jim, I'd like to see more content on the site as well, and I can surely donate a lot of satellite/DirecTV/HD LF's from 2010 through today to the site along with a few IntelliStar clips here and there

As for the forums, how about a tiny shift in focus to where we can have a little more focus on weather and not just TWC?

In case you haven't noticed, TWC is not the only channel going away from its "original purpose".. things change over time such as the addition of reality shows to TWC and Al Roker, but stuff like this is happening on other channels as well and not just TWC. MSNBC, for example, doesn't air news on the weekends except for in the morning hours. Same with History, Discovery, etc.. reality TV has been taking over television since it's suiting to society these days, in which society may find all news and all weather boring. These are measures by the networks to ensure that they still earn money since these networks are NOT non-profit organizations.
