I hope to be getting Verizon FiOS soon, in which my parents are likely going to leave the internet on so the IP doesn't change.
Most ISPs including FIOS block common ports like 80 and 25. As Matt said they don't allow it because it poses a slight higher risk than other ports. I still wouldnt call the risk that bad.
When I was able to broadcast, I was actually using ports like 51445 on Vista and 4353 on XP, but thanks for the advice you two.

So I'm in a bit of a dilemma now. I want to stream my Weatherscan XL Emulator and host my videos to a server so badly, but my parents won't open the ports on our router because they say my neighbor who has a Bachelor's in computer science told them that port fowarding is very dangerous. Not that I believe it, but they say that hackers can get into the router, control the host computer, and take their bank account info. :hmm:
Your neighbor is right. Opening common ports on your router is very risky, unless you know what you're doing. In fact, I'm surprised that your ISP would allow such a thing (unless you have a business account or something). :nono:
Nope, they actually recently NAT-blocked me for streaming music with my WeatherScan XL Emulator in Windows Media Encoder.

I hope to be getting Verizon FiOS soon, in which my parents are likely going to leave the internet on so the IP doesn't change.

For those of you who have my facebook, I just added an extra name on my profile. That would be my middle name. I'm doing this for safety and security reasons.
Ana, adding your middle name to anything online is actually a safety and security risk.  Why do you want to do that?
I'm not even comfortable giving out my last name online other than on Facebook.
Neither am I here, but I did it with my sig here because there was a member here whom I added, and they didn't know who I was, even after me telling them "I am Zach from TWC Today". Other than that, if you were one of my original friends here from 2008, you should know my middle name by default. :bleh:

TWC Fan Art / Re: TWCZach's Emulations and Drawings

On the "Local on the 8s" Facebook page I pointed out a good half-dozen reasons why the WeatherStar III emulation picture was a BIG fail.  B)
I do know that when the custom BGs for the 3000 failed on TWC's end, it would cue the blue one.

And abput the LOT8's FB page, I am the runner of it and I created it for people to become fans of it as there were no fan pages for it then. B)

More concepts. (:

•Another 3000 BG fail (made in After Effects CS4)
•Exact replica of the IntelliSTAR as it appeared from February-June 2008 (made in Photoshop 7)

You should always bring laptops to school. It's very safe and won't get stolen.

It has gotten into the loop current, as stated by the local cheif meteorologist at WTVT tonight, and it looks like it could impact us if a hurricane were to hit us in June (like I see that happening).

They must have found some way to override that old logo... I haven't seen it since early last March. But then again, when you show the same episode 3 times in one night... it could take you months to go through the entire series.
It was only shown at the end during the credit scroll, and TWC probably doesn't like to show that logo anymore, which is likely why they "squish" the credits these days. <_<

This one I can't stand anymore for personal reasons
I can't stand that one anymore. either. Yvonne is one of my favorite artists, but when I hear songs by him (real name is Leon), I'd expect to hear songs like "Best of Times" and "Summer Fragrance", not some minor-key sounding song such as "Heart of Gold".

OMG NBC...
Guarantee you NBC had nothing to do with this.
I can agree/disagree with that statement in ways. It may have been a typo that a producer at TWC made, but ever since NBC took over TWC, their form of production sure has changed massively.
