Aaron, with a Pinnacle tuner, you should be able to exit the program while you program your tuner.

« on: June 14, 2010, 01:58:40 AM »TWC HD is on Charter in Corinth, Texas.The HD STAR won't be just for big cities, as long as your cable company carries TWC HD and you have a STAR unit in your city.It could just be due to the size of the area, but I have not seen TWC HD in any of the locations I've been to in Michigan's Charter territory. I'm doubtful Charter carries TWC HD in any of its area, actually. I can see Charter buying HD STARs for St Louis or Dallas, but certainly not northern Michigan.

As for me, I have 2 opinions.
In the place of a fan, it's a 1. 1 because they don't really show much weather anymore and are focused on the same places over and over, severe weather or not. The music is another thing, too. Rock on TWC, especially with narrations for you XL and IS viewers disrupts the vocals that want to be heard. With ratings, Landmark preempted long form and excessively covered severe weather where it was happening nationwide instead of sending out dual feed to the areas.
In the view of a regular viewer, it's a 5. Many people are more focused on news and could care less about weather. To me, the news part is the way NBC can keep TWC's ratings up. Also, the average viewer has no view of the music, all they want is their local weather 6 times an hour on the 8s.

The tuner window won't even open now, and I think one of the files might have been screwed up. I'm starting to give some mind to just buying a new laptop, with a much faster processor. I never bothered to look at processors when I had bought both my desktop and m laptop in the past, which may have been the underlying cause to some of the issues I have had.Aaron, I don't know if you're talking about your Pinnacle, HP, or Hauppauge tuner, but if it's the Pinnacle, those can tend to be screwy at times, mine has foiled me, but a simple rewrite to the drivers helped it.
