You know what I have noticed? Almost everyone I see who drives BMWs, they seem to have no patience and always cut in front of people. It's like they want attention and have everyone to see how "awesome" their car may be.

Ohh I know exactly what you mean. It's the same here too. Same with old guys in porsches. Oh god, they're evil sometimes. I promise when I get my BMW someday, I won't be like that

Sheesh. Down here a major form of showing off with vehicles is pimping up a Caprice Classic with 32" tires

But why should The Weather Channel spend money and resources on developing a new SD Star when standard television has, at least in the opinion of the government, become obsolete?  Even cable/satellite operators aren't going to be required to carry them for much longer (but probably will, at least for the foreseeable future, since HDTV sets are quite expensive).

Standard definition is not obsolete but analog is. The day you see the FCC ban 640x480 broadcasting is when SD will vanish

Ok, I've been confused all this time? So if an IS2 is installed, would you be able to watch it on the SD channel or HD channel? And does it replace the original IntelliStar, (like how an XL replaces a 4000...)? Sorry about my misunderstanding.

STARs dont replace STARs unless a headend upgraded to the next generation

The IS will be on SD and the IS2 will be on HD

P.S. If an IS2 is put in Comcast Monroe, please do not request one to be put in Monroe Charter right away, I still want to enjoy the original IntelliStar for a few more months with my cable provider.

 Monroe, MI Comcast does. It has a blue background with red scroll and white text.
