If you look in that video at 3 minutes and 11 seconds, there's a clip of Rich Johnson that came from this very website.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion
« on: March 27, 2013, 06:29:59 PM »
I can assure y'all that if TWC is bad enough, then just look for alternative solutions to get your weather information. WeatherNation is a starting point for national weather, but really, NOAA/NWS is one of the best places to get any sort of weather information in the US.

As for the music, if you miss it so much, then go back and watch Youtube clips of it, or just purchase the music off of iTunes. I listen to older TWC songs that I purchased all the time and while doing that, I look at various weather resources and that's plenty for me not to think of TWC but get the same feeling.

Seeing how much weather is dominating the conversation lately even on here, would you all be interested in having the weather boards expanded to allow you all more room for model discussions, forecasting, or even perhaps a weather trivia game or forecasting contest?  I gave everyone ideas in that thread several months ago, but I haven't seen anyone else try it, and I really don't want to do it all by myself.  So, I'd like some help from my team and from all of you with thoughts.
Patrick, I love that idea! And I hope it gets implemented!

General Emulator Discussion / Suggestion: Custom Local Radar Maps..
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:36:06 PM »
Hey Brian, I have a little suggestion.. is it at all possible for you to implement custom local radar map boundaries? Seeing how the Wunderground radar API makes this possible with their maxlon/maxlat and minlon/minlat strings, I thought it was a good idea :)

Here's some examples of custom maps I did:

State view

Local view

..or maybe even a neighborhood view

The tool I used to determine the max and min longitude and latitude information was this little site: http://www.birdtheme.org/useful/googletool.html

It's just a suggestion, and if it's possible to implement this, I would love to see it! :D

The Weather Channel Local Outage #1

Fast forward to 2:29. The Tides product makes an appearance during a 60-second flavor in place of the marine forecast product   :o

That's a sun outage

Sometimes whenever I use Windows Movie Maker (the original, not Live) after I right click for options and select an option (such as remove) the option button I select becomes stuck and see-through, overlaying every window I use (see snapshot below.) Whenever that happens, I just simply reboot my computer to get rid of it. Just thought I'd ask if anybody else here has had this problem before.
Another way to solve that if it ever happens is to open your task manager and end the explorer.exe process under Processes and then in the Applications portion of the task manager, go to "New Task..." and type in "explorer" or "explorer.exe", no reboot required
