When I tried logging into the forum my anti-virus program went absolutely bonkers, so I switched to my Ubuntu computer, and even here Google Chrome prevented me from accessing the forum because of malware warnings. I just barely managed to get in, and even now Google is screaming at me... but Ubuntu is generally better protected from malware than Windows, so I'm taking a chance just to post this message.No problems on my end

Nick recreated the 4000 background to it's best extent for the WS4000 emulator, so the gradient was indeed grainy.it seems like on the gradient background there's some noise. Is that really the case?
Are you talking about the bitrot degredation on the background?

Not bad for a first start!
However, I have some tips, if you don't mind..
• Try going with 720x480. That's XL's native resolution.
• The fonts used on the XL are Akzidenz Grotesk and Helvetica Neue. They're both commercial fonts, though.
• Try taking stills from videos of the real thing (there are lots of those on TWC Classics and TWC Today) and align the text/icons to have a much more authentic look.
