Smooth jazz has been permanently removed from the playlists.Where are you getting that info from?
As you know, the music on The Weather Channel has been evolving over the last several years toward a more contemporary, appropriate play list. The music played during full-screen Local on the 8s on The Weather Channel during the afternoon and morning day parts continues to adapt. Going forward, our music team will keep investigating different genres and change selections as needed to stay fresh and align with The Weather Channel brand.
Didn't they already have a show with this same title or a pretty darn similar title years ago?Yes, Surviving the Elements, though the two shows will have totally different content delivered not of the same variety.
The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) announced today it has greenlit "Braving the Elements," a new docudrama anthology series revealing the work, subculture and characters of professions that take place outdoors and are impacted by weather, seasons and extreme locations.
It wasn't in the Q4 2011 loop, but seems to be in the Q1 2012 loop, so thats why you saw it PavelStrange, I remember seeing it just about a week ago.Looks like with Q1 2012 programming, From the Edge is back, and WWCH is off (with exception of the Saturday/Sunday half-hour versions at 4 AM ET).Didn't realize From the Edge was out of the schedule
