For those of you who liked my CC screen idea, I have gone to the full extent to modify as much of the parsed data as possible, from modifying the wind string to detect calm winds, to shortening the direction strings so it fits all in one line, and to adding support for gusts and detection of heat index/wind chill.. all so that it actually looks like what an IntelliStar would put out! 
With the accomplishments I have made, work on my CC Screen v2 is officially over, thus I have decided to release its source code here for those wanting to know all the work to generate the final outputted image it makes!
Attached below is a preview of the final version.
Who knows if I'm gonna make a v3 version of the screen? maybe when the next SD STAR comes out..

« on: February 10, 2012, 04:29:48 PM »Did you click on the login tab on the forum and select "Always stay logged in"?Navigation, especially when trying to post, is slow to extremely slow right now. At least for me.What I don't understand is why you don't just stay logged in forever, so you don't have to deal with signing in and out every time you visit (unless you feel unsafe with doing this).
I do try.
My Ubuntu computer lets me stay logged in forever, but my Windows computer, for whatever reason, ignores that and makes me log in every single time I come to the forum.

The ones I found strange/funny were "Shelter in Place Warning", "Nuclear Power Plant Warning" and "Law Enforcement Warning", I mean, just imagine seeing those on your Intellistar and being narrated!You have to think back to the Cold War on why those warnings got issued.

Usually if people could tell the difference, based on my observations, they would identify the names as the STAR type in lieu of saying Local on the 8s here. If your headend doesnt have an i2HD hooked up, you should be seeing the national feed. If they do and it's been absent for an extended period of time, do make a topic in WxStar Support.
