I wish TWC kept the old radar like what's in your sig image. That was much closer to the actual Weatherscan's radar. I dont mind the city name changes, though.

in a way i do miss that radar, however this radar which replaced the old radar is much sharper, the basemap is at a higher resolution, and along with that, i can pick the downloaded image format.. now if there was only a way to change snow from being blue to white ...

I have attached two images to showcase the original radars for those who do not know what they look like.

Okay, the emulator is now working fine, but it doesn't start up right, the radar sometimes freezes, and the first CC page gives my Norfolk.

a logical problem that maybe happening is that your "current conditions" location is not even reporting anymore, try reconfiguring it again, then build your configuration out again. try that and let us know of how it works out.

Can there be an option to enter multiple zip codes for the traffic incidients so it provides more information for multiple areas/highways/etc. nearby.

the current configuration for the traffic reports allow any incident reported in a radius of approx. 10 miles to show. i do not believe it is necessary to provide multiple zip codes, however the zip code is not restricting only to your town, its just centering the radius.

Okay, was able to download the new setup file, installed it, and got my new key.  Then I realized I had to do the "unregister 1-2-3-OK" command, now when I go to run the emulator, it requests a key.  I click GET MY KEY, and it says a key was already assigned to me.  I copy the key, then enter it on the next screen, and it says my key is not valid.  Did I unregister my key?

i released the current key that the config server has on record for you, try this again.

The City icons on the radar maps were moving back and forth

this is by behaviour from where i receive the radar maps for the emulator, if its a big annoyance, the names can be turned off.

well.. this problem can be simplified into "not following directions"..
you needed to select the packages you want to display. for sake of argument, i selected just to show your local forecast. you should be good now.

On that web site, it says under "Main Cfg'n" .... "affiliate disabled - please note, Cfg'n server is being updated".
No download link.

Your account was disabled for one of many reasons, however it is enabled again.

I want to say that I'm trilled by the improvements you've made to the emulator, especially with the radars. Excellent work! I'm hooked on this emulator now!

I am glad to hear that you are happy with the progress to this point, although its taken awhile, but i am sure it was worth the wait!

its because "Fair" skies can be a daytime and night time word. i have to figure out how i can use the sunrise/sunset times to determine the approperate icon.

Exactly.

Here is a more specific rundown of what happens:
1. I open the emulator.
2. It says my key expired.  The only option is "Enter Key"
3. I click "Enter Key"
4. I click cancel witch closes the program.
                       or
5. I enter my old key witch is obviously invalid, an error message pops up, the only option is OK.

Please check one thing, verify the emulator is running from C:\wsxl\wsxl.exe
if it is infact running from that location, goto start->run and plugin:
C:\wsxl\wsxl.exe unregister
a box will appear, requesting you to press [1] [2] [3] [ OK ]
then try the emulator again like normal.

I believe i know what box your refering to. if you read my installation instructions, a box will appear asking if you want to enter a new key to press OK, or to use the default configuration press NO, otherwise to close the program, press CANCEL. you need to press NO to revert to the default configuration. Pressing OK will not yeild the proper box to display the "Get My Key" button. Report here if this resolved the situation.

When I go to the Weatherscan folder in my program files to edit the logo, the folder seems to be empty.

the program folder has been changed to X:\wsxl .. where X: is your system drive letter. it has been moved from the depths of the "Program Files" directory because of issues relating to the alert add-on working properly with the 3rd party software. there will be more on the alert add-on soon.
