-that black is a product of the emulator disabling the radar layer and enabling the forecast layer. only reason it is seen is based off performance from the computer. i *might* be able to work around the situation by forcing the forecast layer to show before unloading the radar layer (thereby eliminating the emulator from quickly showing something empty).
-in regards to the airport product, currently i have it show one primary location, and 8 other locations. would it be possible to show more? yes, it could.. but do YOU really need it to show more than 8 other locations ? .. the book says the airport product can show 0-4 primary airport locations, however i believe one location is sufficient.

in regards to the maps, the radar comes from twc, and the satellite comes from wunderground. if you would like to try something else, the map must be able to be called as an image from a url, and in that url must include your latitude and longitude, along with the size resolution the map will cut. yea i know alot must happen here..

thank you for the feedback! the background shown was one of the canidates i picked to use for the frame, with a little tweaking, ill make it look right

i think this is a gray area. not that i do condone it, but i am not stopping you. just know as a general rule, you can not use this in place of something else professional to relay life threating details. although the program does have the capacity to do that task, i would not rely on it to make important decisions. if you were to use this in a multicast environment, i would strongly urge you to create a theme that does not include any trademarked writing/logos because such may be misleading and discrediting to a reliable source by using their trademarks.

hey guys, all of you have some great background ideas! once i am done making the product work, i will try some of the images out and see how they appear.
the attached image is a concept of what i am working with this morning. it is live data, however i am still a ways away from having it functioning automatically. thats my project for the day today!
(the emulator is rendering this image btw)

i am working on the airport package, is there a list of major airports that are in this country.. like BWI, JFK, PHL.. the top tier airports.. basically ones that we would be interested in seeing data on.. thanks!
