Well this is a VERY, VERY good sign. I hope the Chyron's change soon. It's really time for TWC to do an overhaul on their logo, etc.... Hope the changes are good!

After 3 years, Crystal Egger is leaving The Weather Channel and headed to the Left Coast.

Egger came to TWC from Denver, but is now headed back to California which is home.  She is not tipping off where she is headed just yet, but rumor has it she is going to a SoCal station.

Here is the internal memo sent out to the staff at TWC announcing that Egger is leaving:

I am sorry to announce that Crystal Egger is leaving us.  That lure of home is just too strong and Crystal has a great opportunity that will take her back home to California.  She can't reveal the details yet but stay tuned. 

Crystal joined us three years ago and has been an important member of the Weather Center Live team and always a dedicated team player for live programming.   We and her fans will certainly miss her on TWC. 

Her last official day is Friday, September 6th, but she'll be in town packing through the 15th and will jump in if the tropics act up before she leaves Atlanta.

Please join me in wishing Crystal much success in her next adventure and we hope to see her again on the air.

This was on Eric Fisher's Facebook page.

A bittersweet but exciting announcement: Monday will be my last day at TWC. Will be extremely sad to leave my TWC family, but I will be taking up the post as Chief Meteorologist at WBZ-TV in BOSTON. Wicked excited to be be back around all our family!! These past 3 years were something I'll never forget. I'll say one thing...TWC is the most unique/amazing place for any Meteorologist to work, and I'm extremely grateful for my time there. Here's to the rollercoster of life!

I'm starting to think TWC is doing some of the changes that are coming. With the live shows such as DP, WCL, etc being shot in a different studio now. We can all hope they are making the changes now and hopefully they will be good changes.

I was wondering if anybody knew where I can find the theme music TWC uses for Weather Center Live, Day Planner, Morning Rush, also the music they use when they are in " Red Mode " for Severe Weather, and other music they may use. Thanks for any info provided!

I have to agree with Brandon.  It seems that there are certain people who will give someone a lot of grief for a duplicated post or thread, a response that isn't quite "kosher," and so on, and it doesn't need to be this way.  In my opinion, the best way to handle this would be for a moderator to simply say that this topic was being merged with one that already existed, and that's that.

I wanna say thanks to TWC for staying with KFOR Coverage of the Tornadoes today. Being that I have family in Oklahoma I am able to watch their coverage. And my family is OK there. They were in their basements. They did loose their house today. Can't really keep a good cell signal right now with them.

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / High Springs, Florida WeatherStar XL down.

I don't have a STAR ID because I do not know it. But the XL in High Springs, Florida is down and has been for 5 hours. The only thing working on the XL is the Radar. There is no Current Conditions, Forecast, or 7 day forecast. Just thought you should know. Thanks!

Looking at my channel guide last night it didn't show WCL it just showed the programming that was on. And as for today it's showing WCL on at 5pm and again at 10pm. I know they said there was a meeting which is why they didn't go live. Maybe their meeting last night was about rolling out the new GFX and things.
