I'm sure Mr. Alligator isn't hungry today :P
In other news, it's going to be 26C in the UK this week, only days after the start of Fall. This month where currently above average, that being 15C

To use TWC's Slogan
UK Summers, It's Freezing out there!

Edit: I found it, It's "My Dancing Heart" by Chris Camozzi - Suede
Thanks if you tried to help anyway :)

General Discussion / Re: Making my own "Boyer"STAR
« on: September 23, 2014, 12:00:27 PM »
I've stopped working on the BoyerSTAR for now as I'm working on a program called FALF (Feed Activated Local Forecast) that works much in the same way as the real life STARS, minus the expensive satellite...

I'll get some pictures sooner or later.

Well, apparently they are making good progress

We are making good progress but have not released a launch date just yet! We will be sure to keep you posted. Thanks!
It's going to be interesting to see what Accuweather does. Programming wise. To be fair though I don't see Accuweather being a threat to TWC as they went for a different approach ever since NBC took over.

No if only Jim had the time to re record his lines in pirate voice.
"Arrr, this be the weather in our area"
That would just be brilliant  :rofl2:

It's interesting how they've decided to pick these tracks.
Maybe they're trying to their moneys worth out of this production music commissioning :p

For some reason I can't comment on your youtube video. But that music seems to be their 'montage' I wouldn't be surprised if this was only a one off.
The problem is that this track wasn't designed for a local forecast. That Storm Alert section halfway through may confuse people, or so I would think...

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Edouard

Looking at the computer models, there's a high possibility it won't make landfall onto the US as a hurricane, or a TD for that matter. Personally, I think Invest 93L is going to be interesting, I think it may make landfall onto the Caribbean islands but it could well go north and so possibly go up the east coast

If anyone get's hold of a star and wouldn't mind an enormous shipping cost...
But honestly I'm still surprised how long this legacy hardware has lasted. To be fair this day would have come sooner or later, I'm just surprised It finally took so long. Mind you, the BBC only just dumped Teletext last year.

If I'm honest, I think the sponsor overlay rather ruins the look of the new design. I'm not sure why, Just not a big fan of sponsors.
