I can't remember the last time I've chewed gum. It's probably been at least two years, maybe even more. I just never was a big gum chewer.

Mike Bettes was rolling in a sweater vest today. He hasn't worn those since late 2007 or early 2008.

Oh right, I think Philly was the only one I saw with a TWC listing.
Silicondust shows FiOS TWC listings in the Baltimore/Washington area.

Pretty chilly this morning. I think I need to go back to the Stove. 39 degrees, with a wind chill of 28. I want my spring back.

During ESPN/ABC's broadcast of the Nationwide Series race at Bristol, they played "Eminence Front" by the Who while going to one of the commercial breaks.

For the first day of spring, they've put flowers up all over the studio.

Also, for the first time in ages, early Weekend View had two hosts. Alex Wallace and Ray Stagich were reunited again.

What happened to the time on your LDL?
The screenshots were taken before the clock was added to the LDL.

Today in my Climate and Society class, we watched an old Forecast Earth episode about Heat Waves that was narrated by Nick Walker. My professor (or someone) recorded it from TV, because the IntelliStar LDL was present. The date on the LDL was Wednesday, April 20, (2005), and it was recorded at 9:00pm (I never realized they ever showed Forecast Earth on weeknights back then). While the CC site on the LDL was Lancaster, this was a different unit than the one I've seen in Lancaster (22601). The STAR ID was 23266, and the forecast location was Ephrata. I have no idea which cable company owns this unit, or if it's still in service.

For those with XP and want to upgrade to that browser (which will be available soon), you might want to consider upgrading your Windows. It will NOT SUPPORT Windows XP.

Meh, I'm sticking with SeaMonkey.

Don't think it will be available that soon. :P Hasn't even made it to beta. At some point I see the need for MS to let go of older OSs but considering how widely use IE9 is they should have probably kept it included.

IMO, there's no reason for Microsoft to bend over backwards to support a ten-year-old OS. XP is now in extended support phase, so the only updates Microsoft is sending out to XP users are security patches. Furthermore, IE9 uses Direct2D (which is based upon DirectX 10) to render pages, and is only available for Vista SP2+. Microsoft would have to spend a lot of time and resources trying to backport that to XP.

If you're not a web developer, don't even bother installing the IE9 Platform Preview. There's no proper GUI for everyday web browsing. Just the menu bar with a few simple commands. Wait for the beta or final version to be released.

Here's a screenshot (courtesy Microsoft) just to show how spartan the UI is:
