Do you want us to record our local weather IDs?
Like on the station ID at :57? Yes, I was under the impression that we are recording that.

Gary, I set up a page for the event. What do you think of it?

Yup you can put any OS you want on a computer.  8)
As long as it's compatible ;)

What do you mean? All OS's are compatible. Windows OS's of course. Obviously (I thought it was obvious anyway) you can't use a Mac or other computer OS.
Well, there is a variety situations you could run into. Aside from the Mac OS example, there are others. For example, you can't run an OS compiled for a 64-bit processor (Windows XP x64, Vista x64, or various x86-64 Linux distros) on a computer 32-bit processor (like a Pentium III, Pentium 4, Athlon XP).

You can install practically any OS you want on any computer. Your school most likely bought that computer recently, and it came pre-installed with Vista, but the school probably reformatted the hard drive and installed XP. Really, it's quite a simple process.

Wow, this is going to be such a mess.

Look, I don't want videos you can't give me today or tomorrow. What sense does it make to do the project now and add videos to it weeks or months down the road?
Wait, I thought you wanted people to contribute videos to the site. What's the point of even doing this if you will not accept late contributions? You should be grateful that I am even willing to take the time to set up my VCR at home and then convert the tape to a format for your site.

Also, providing my VCR works properly, I won't have my Hanover IntelliStar clips posted for quite a while (maybe a few weeks or a month) because I don't know when I'll be at home again.

Is it even worth doing this project? So far it looks like there are only 3 or 4 people who want to participate (Billy, Thunder, Derek, and maybe myself). Is there anyone else whose going to be participating?
I thought Mike was, too.

Did you ever find out if SMF can send out a bulk email to all members?

Yep, tomorrow at 8:57 eastern, 7:57 central, 6:57 pacific.

You mean 6:57 Mountain and 5:57 PM Pacific, right?

Is that correct?
Yes; there are four time zones in the continental US (eastern, central, mountain, and pacific), thus 8:57 eastern equates to 5:57 pacific.

I just set my VCR here in PA to record at 8:55 and 9:55 tomorrow.
I did the same exact thing last night. I just hope I set it up right, though. It's been forever since I programmed my VCR.
