And I believe TWC might be officially back. At 9:59 PM ET the satellite LF went black for a minute, then then new satellite LF flashes, then Day Planner starts with teasers then. Looks like the control room is back and functioning!

This bit of info from Doug Kiesling over at the stormtrack.org message boards:

"Ok some of you will be jumping for joy but I just got a 411/911 phone call from a friend in Atlanta who heard the following.

TWC got knocked off the air tonight due to a power surge the fried some major electrical system.

Right now the computer local forecast stuff is running from what looks to be weatherscan.

But the report I got was that there was a very large bang or boom and then the live broadcast was gone."

Got to see my Wxscn reboot, which allowed me to see my Wxscn Local Wx ID #:

Awesome. I didn't see my Wxscan reboot, but I wasn't really watching it. That ID number seems to fit in with the domestic IntelliStar local weather IDs.

Weatherscan is officially back, with radar and all. Seems the radars been back for about 35 min now.

Still no CC obs tho.

Same. My Wxscan radar says Past 35 Mins, the time is close to being right, but still No Report for CC.
