I see what's going on. I'm hearing the national audio feed, but seeing the alternate feed of an empty GFC desk:

\

Then at 11:33 PM ET, I see the EE intro and then after that, Carl Parker at at the chroma with no audio.

Edit: at 11:36, I am seeing SkyTracker focused on the storms in the south then at 11:37, SkyTracker on the Los Angeles area.

Today at 11:21 PM ET, they broke in with a Weather Update. Alexandra was doing the Weekly, Planner, then they showed the main desk with two empty seats, then, showed a live feed from Jim out in the field, then broke away to a blank Weekly Planner map.

After that, a blank screen came in for a minute or two.

Now during the commercial break, we see the main desk with people working in the background, and no audio. Getting this on tape...

Now we see Rich Johnson in studio...

Edit: Now hearing "Broad Street" by George Howard in the background, then it cut out.

Edit2: IS cut in after hearing WWCH promo and CC sponsor music.

Am I out of my mind..or are there four OCMs on Evening Edition tonight?  Alexandra, Carl, Adam, and The Rugged Jim?
Alexandra, Carl, and Jim (out in the field) are hosting EE. Adam is doing Weather Updates.

Local Forecast / Re: Here's the February 2008 playlist
« on: February 21, 2008, 09:13:08 PM »
That Joyce Cooling song could be on the "dual feed" playlist, along with When Summer Comes, Rainbow Seeker, and the Eddie Reasoner song.  This is different from the "emergency" Trammell list.  That list seems to be on the Local immediately before and after a Weather Update.

Another example: I just heard "Road To Venlo" by David Becker Tribune then got a Weather Update Segment. :D

Jim Cantore's birthday was this past Saturday, as well; they mentioned it during EE last Friday. Three birthdays in a week. Happy birthday to all of them.

At 4:43 PM ET, Dave said an Epic Conditions segment would follow, but they showed a Danny Lipford segment instead.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Mike Bettes - wearing a tie tonight
« on: February 20, 2008, 11:17:06 PM »
He's worn a tie in the past, but only a few times (during the first few months of A&B).

The last time I actually remember him wearing a suit and tie was last January when he lost his bet with Steph over the 2006 BCS National Championship; as a result, he had to wear a full suit and tie with Florida Gators colors. (orange and blue)

If he has worn a suit and tie since then, it was only once or twice.
I believe he has worn a tie the few times he had to substitute for someone on EE.

I"ve never used 2000. I had Windows 98 for a long time until it slowed down
We were actually running Windows 98 SE until July 2005 when we then got a new PC with XP.

Windows 95 was fun. I remember playing some of the games off the Win95 CD like Hover and watching that Weezer music video.

Hmmm. I know Windows 2000 is rarely used so it could be within 3 years. I still like XP though. Is Vista better?
Actually, there still many corporations still using Windows 2000 today. You'd be surprised how many places are still using Windows 2000.

When will XP no longer be in wide use?
After everyone moves onto other operating systems. It could a year, it could be 10 years.
