Local Forecast / Re: Trammell Sightings
« on: May 17, 2008, 12:21:57 AM »
We are such TWC dorks that we run here the instant we witness Trammell. It's fun. :sunglasses:

Can anyone ID that song?
I know, we are such dorks. :P But has anyone noticed the number of these types of errors has increased a lot within the past few days?

I'll get an ID for the song once I go back and review my tapes.

Edit: It was "Late Night Cafe" (CD 3 Track 11).

I loved how Jerry always had a Mac on his desk. I can think of at least 4 different models through the years. :P

Ummm... I can remember an SE/30, TAM, Quadra/Centris 660AV, and a Power Book Duo/DuoDock. The best part was that he had Windows and office boxes on his desk

It's nice to meet fellow Mac fans!
I always found that part amusing. There would be a Mac sitting on his desk, then a Windows NT 4 box sitting right next to it.

Edit, I suppose he could run NT4 on a Mac. There was a PPC version of it.

We have at least one Dollar Tree here, and at one point, I believe there were two.

Would the satellite there display no LDL?
Yes. If no STAR is installed, there will be no LDL.

I emailed Brian Picard asking him if he had anything to do with the other Trammell songs suddenly appearing on the emergency feed, but I got an automated response saying he's out of the office. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday (or whenever he comes back) for a reply.

I'm going to a small town outside of Scranton, PA at the end of June. I might see another STAR there, but I won't be surprised if I see an IntelliStar or even no star at all.
I don't understand why some cable companies don't have STARS. That's a bit scary.
It's possible that they can't afford one.

Would the v6 application crash my laptop?
It shouldn't. If it does, there's something seriously wrong.

Why does the -950 tuner still use the ancient WInTV 2000 application?
Because that is Hauppauge's application that works best with the tuner. You can download WinTV version 6 from Hauppauge's site, which has an updated appearance.

There's a community bulletin board type of channel on the cable lineup here and they play smooth jazz songs, like those on TWC.
