This morning at the end of First Outlook they didn't check in with the YWT team, nor did they check in with the EE team at the end of A&B tonight.

Yeah, it was running underneath the LF. Surprised that didn't cause chaos.

It seems that within the past few months they've changed the way the LDL is handled. They can now cue the local forecast over the LDL to prevent the aforementioned chaos.

Not exactly a blooper, but a funny moment... Mike Bettes said he was feeling a bit hot, so Mike Seidel came around and pointed a fan at Bettes' head.

Just now on A&B they showed the Thunderstorm Forecast map, and the edges of the map were cut off, along with half of the titlebar. Screen coming shortly (didn't feel like booting the tuner).

I noticed that. I wonder if that was the HD-version of the T'storm Forecast map.

It certainly looked like it.

To be honest, after watching my tapes from YWT this morning, I wasn't too impressed with the projection/video screens. They're just too small in SD and it looked too washed out. Maybe that was my tape, but I'll have to wait to see it live during EE tonight. I just think the chroma key walls look much better.

:P. ah well. hahaha

BTW, it still looks like they've kept up with the Weather Ready Mondays.

Oh my gosh, A&B's colors have changed from orange to blue, and they're broadcasting from the big desk for two weeks!

Question:  The double-E is in HD now, but is EEWC and Weekend EE also in HD?
We know for sure EE Weekend will be. Adam and Kristin mentioned it yesterday.

Unless the SD shows are actually using SkyTracker disguised as Titan; not sure if that's the case.
This morning during First Outlook, Cheryl asked for SkyX (I forget the number, it might have been Sky2). I also saw a few cities on the radar still using the Interstate font, and not Helvetica, like they might have manually updated the fonts on all the main cities and forgot a few.

Edit: Forgot to mention: On First Outlook during the 6:50 AM ET Tropical Update, they were still obviously using WPS for an infrared satellite view, complete with old titlebars.

Betty Davis just controlled Titan using the small sliver wired clicker. Haven't seen that yet today.
So has Titan Radar replaced SkyTracker for good?

It totally looks like they've dropped ceiling information from the LDL.  <_<

I don't really like how ad crawls are handled on the new LDL. They look too out-of-place and tacked in, to be honest.

Just checked the SD channel, still showing the sat LF.  Same thing on the HD channel.
Ya know, this may sound crazy, but maybe they're working at the headend and they're busy installing the HD STAR. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes a debut today.

Looks like city names on SkyTracker are now all Helvetica. I guess we won't have to worry about this now, will we?
