That's hot!
99° for Monday here. I don't remember ever being this hot this early before. We've seen low 90's, but not near 100°.
TWC just updated their forecast. Supposed to hit 98° on Monday now.

I LOVE the heat. Bring it on!  :shades:
Try saying that after you spend eight hours a day in it, while doing strenuous physical activity. :fear:

SR, out of curiosity, what kind of HP notebook do you have? And are you happy with it? I'm in the market for a new one, and am looking to spend $900-approx. $1200. I've been looking at Dell, just because I love the custom options/upgrades, but I've seen some nice HPs out there. Thanks!

I have an HP laptop (a dv6000z) and while it is a decent laptop, I've had various problems with is. First off, it gets insanely warm; I've actually burnt myself with it a few times. And the overheating lead to the next two problems. I got the laptop last July, and in January, the wireless stopped working. Then in April, the graphics adapter died. I later learned both were due to overheating. Luckily, HP fixed the problem for free, but I was without the laptop for a few weeks.

I also have a Dell laptop (an Inspiron 1525), and I like it a lot more than the HP. It runs much cooler than the HP; I attribute that to the Core 2 Duo in the Dell, which runs inherently cooler than the Turion 64 X2, which was in my HP. Also, both laptops are 15.4" models, and I find the Dell slightly lighter than the HP.

Ugh, I'm not looking forward to the weather in the coming days. Starting this Saturday, temperatures will be 90°+ for at least a week.
Neither am I looking forward to it. It's gonna be hell 'cause I have to work outside in all that heat.  :furious: :fire:

I am looking to get OUT of fast food.  I can't stand it anymore.  I'm going job hunting tomorrow.  I will probably apply at Farm and Fleet (a store with tires, pet food, and outdoor supplies), Wal Mart, or Panera Bread (a coffe-like shop).  I NEED to get out of the place I'm at now, or i will have NO summer, what-so-ever, and I will hate it.

OMG, you guys have panera out there too? I thought it was only in san antonio...i plan on applying there too :)

my job hunt will probably begin today as well.

We have Panera here in MD too.  :P
...and here in PA...

Durning the weekly planner on your weather today, this morning @ 9:20-9:22 AM ET, the showed Raleigh, NC's Highs @ 0F or 1F for the high, but marshall pointed out that actually 0F is 100F, & 1F is actually 101F.
That seems to be a bug in the Viz|Weather systems that they need to work out; it happened a few other times this week, too.

Apparently Eboni Deon has been trained on the HD studio as a fill-in; she's filling in for Nicole today. The other possibility is that she's not trained for it; we'll see if she purposely stays away from the projector wall today.

I could've sworn I heard Nicole sounding a little raspy yesterday. If so, this has to be a worst case scenario for TWC unless they did indeed prep Eboni in the Studio in case this very thing happened.
Nicole is on Military Duty for a few days.
