Thank you for your email. I am no longer with The Weather Channel. If you are a viewer with feedback or a question, please visit our customer service page at www.weather.com/customerservice. On this site you will find an extensive list of frequently asked questions as well as a feedback form.
Do you need an HDTV to get these "subchannels"? (10.1, 10.2, etc)? No, just a digital TV (or some kind of digital tuner/converter box).
I know what the QAM channels here are; they're on channels 71.1 through 71.11.This is strange. I just re-tuned my DVD recorder, and I think I am picking up some OTA channels with it, even though I don't even have an antenna attached, just a coax cable. All of the OTA channels are the HD versions of the channels, but any sub-channels are in SD. It's strange.Crash course in technology:
You might be picking up what's called QAM channels...all digital cable channels are in reality sub-channels of the original 125, then mapped to big numbers. Most providers provide in-the-clear QAM with local digital (meaning you get HD channels), and possibliy some bonus channels (if you're lucky).
Also, you can have only one HD channel per OTA station currently...two makes the picture look like shit (not joking).
Which other 4 OCMs have left earlier this year besides Marshall and Jennifer Lopez? (I'm talking Jan 08 - present)?Bob Stokes, and the three that are getting laid off today (Dave Schwartz, Cheryl Lemke, and Eboni Deon).
YouTube Workaround: If you are experiencing YouTube/Firefox crashing, try this suggested workaround. Add the following as a filter to either Adblock or Adblock Plus:Code: [Select]s.ytimg.com/yt/swf/PMS*.swf
I read somewhere that you can order Dell PC's with DOS.
Maybe 15 years ago you could.
No, as of this year.
