Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

I know this isn't that important but this has bugged me... has anyone noticed whenever they show a three lined lower third on the 11PM PM Edition, the first line is the brighter blue used in the daytime lower thirds? I'm surprised they've never fixed this, it's been like this since PM Edition started airing late at night on weekends.
It's been like that on EEWC/SW/WO/earlyWV/latePME ever since they got new OverDrive operators for those shows back in January.

Well, I haven't seen a blue bar so far tonight on PM Edition. Do they usually show it this time of day?
No, they normally don't use it on PME Weekend Late.

Odd, I see TWC is still showing the First Day Of Summer Intro and the Stay Tuned sponsor segments, even the day after. Are they waiting until the First Day is "technically" over at 1:46 AM EDT?
For those on the west coast it's still not over. ;)

Plus, TWC's broadcasting day begins/ends at 4am et.

TWC's  :rofl2: Al Roker is on NBC's coverage of the US Open and he keeps saying how the rain is going to pick up within the next hour. The funny part is that the radar picture shows the rain continuously breaking up and decreasing in intensity as it moves towards the golf course. It's really obvious, yellow and reds rapidly decreasing to greens. But Al's "forecast" remains the same, for the rain to turn to heavier thunderstorms within the next hour. The funniest part is that Johnny Miller, NBC's lead golf analyst, just called him out on it and said he gave Roker "a bogey for that forecast" since he sees that all the yellows and reds are disappearing.

I know Roker doesn't have to do much meteorology at all, but you'd think he'd at least be able to read a radar loop?? It's really elementary.

He doesn't have a degree in meteorology, which bothers me how and why he is coming to TWC.
To be fair (and I'm not defending Roker in any way here), there have been plenty of personalities in TWC's past who didn't have meteorology degrees.

FYI, I think Almanacs are based from the closest metropolitan city. Billy's almanac comes out of Harrisburg.
Nope. As of a while back, they changed it to York Airport.

My cable guide doesn't have Wake Up With Al on the 6AM slot on June 22, but does have YWT rebranded as "Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes."
Wake Up With Al doesn't start until July 20th. ;)

I think the video wall might be dead. They didn't use it the last hour of DP, and they're not using it now on PME.

Since this Trammell-A-Thon began, has anyone who has an IS noticed that the Satellite LF keeps popping in a quick second before the IS starts?
Yep, I have noticed that, I wonder why it is happening?  :dunno:
It's because the emergency feed is running instead of the normal satellite LF.

Any chance that Fair Weather will play. Thats one of my favorite Trammell songs.
No. That's not on the new Trammell playlist as of May 15, 2008.
