Hello, I have DIRECTV and every holiday, the image they used on that holiday always stays for days. The Black Friday image has been on the national feed ever since Friday. Why is that happening?

Hi have been making a software that will update it self and bring up an alert once it is issued by the National Weather Service just like the STAR units do. I'm making a software for my online station. I need help making the following items:

local forecast in a Lower line display type of box
bring up a NWS Alert when it is issued automaicly

NOTE: I use Visual Basic for all of my software. I just need to know how to do something like that. I'm sorry if this does break the rules of this part of the forum. But I thought I did read that the STAR team from TWC reads this. Thanks!

I cant figure out how to make my program scroll an alert and have the title of the alert go automaticly. I make my software in visual basic. I know how to make text scroll and that but I dont know how to make the alert ticker pop up by its self when an alert is issued for a set of counties the user want.

I'm trying to make it to where my weather software, the Network Weather Information Downloader Computer can scroll trough the weather automaticaly. The Products would be in a tab control and would current condtions, local radar, current alerts, local forecast, and I can play commericals if needed. And when the NWS issues an alert it will sound an alert tone and the text of the alert will scroll across just like the STAR Computers do. and also I would like to display local traffic. The computer would scan and give the location of where the NWIDC is. This is for my online tv station. CAN ANYONE HELP ME!!! Thanks! awlweatherchannelfan
