THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CORPUS CHRISTI HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

MUCH DRIER CONDITIONS WILL FILTER INTO THE REGION TONIGHT IN THE WAKE OF A PACIFIC COLD FRONT. NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 25 MPH LATE SUNDAY MORNING AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS. RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL GENERALLY RANGE FROM 15-25 PERCENT DURING THE SAME PERIOD... WITH RH VALUES AROUND 30 PERCENT ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COAST. THE COMBINATION OF LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL LEAD TO A HIGH FIRE DANGER THREAT SUNDAY... ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS WHEN NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL BE GUSTING TO AROUND 30 MPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS AND FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
