:no:Without overstating the obvious, she was extremely good looking, and some may perceive that as a threat. Secondly, who ever bought out the weather channel, not sure of the network, has done nothing but dilute the whole premise of the originators. First thing I noticed was the cheapening of the local forecast, then an unnecessary Al Roker was thrown into the mix, Now Alexandra Steele is gone. What the hell is going on?
very sad the way TWC is treating her. Another good one bites the dust, Yet Santos is still there
They shouldn't treat all of the women like that, though.
Santos needs to go...sorry!!!!
I agree with you 110% it;'s just down right wrong what NBC/TWC has done to all all the women that have ever worked for them.

Yea, yea....i'm young. (12 years old on February 11 )
Nicole Mitchell recently graduated from law school, so when she finds a job, she'll quit on her own at TWC, IMO.Im glad he does....I wander who TWC will cut next? Hopefully no one
Nicole Mitchell if i had to chose the next one to go.
Nobody knows, but it's a possibility.

I hope Alexandras husband has a good job. I hate that Alex got fired just because she wanted to go part time!
When you have a contract you don't have rights. You don't agree to paint a whole house then decide that you will just paint 50% of it.According to Rich Johnson on his forums, Alex apparently wanted to go part time and NBC wouldn't allow that. Why would that lead to a legal issue? If she wants to go part time she has the right to do that.According to Rich Johnson on his forums, Alex apparently wanted to go part time and NBC wouldn't allow that.Yes this is also what I was informed of. But my friend couldn't confirm it. As rich mentioned they are being particularly tight lipped on this one.
I imagine it went something like this. Alex wanted to go part time, TWC said no leading to a possible legal battle. You will note TWC employees were explicatively told not to take down her profiles while this was going on. Leading me to believe TWC intended to make her stay. I would imagine they reached an agreement and settled out of court and Alex ended up getting the boot completely. That would be my best guess on the situation based on the information available.I wonder why she wanted to step down.Alex does has a family. I don't know the age of her child (children?) but I imagine she wants to spend more time with them. With her current schedule she only sees her kids up until around 2pm. If her kids are going to some sort of schooling that means she only sees them until around 8am each weekday. By the time Alex arrives home most likely they are sleeping. Just a thought.
but yes, indeed...what Kyle mentioned could very well be the legal issue that we had previously heard about.
edit: and if this is the case, then Alexandra was not "let go", this topic name may need to be changed.
Let go seems to fit. She wanted to work less... TWC no and said bye bye. Some folks objected to the word fired and saying she left doesn't fit the information in my opinion
