I love the ingenuity of the Weather Channel these days. I feel as if they're patching the "problems" if you will. The radar looks great. Now if they had a radar box for long form, that would be perfect. I'm peaked to see how TWC plays things out from here.

Hi Blue  Radar!

This just happened to Orlando's IS2 unit. During the 7:28 PM LF. When the local Doppler radar (zoomed in) map was shown. I waited for the next LF and it was normalized. Very strange glitch though. 

This happened again during the 10:18 PM LF. Only this time the regional radar map was blue.

With Verizon FiOS dropping TWC from its lineup, I have to ask: are we entering the final years of TWC? I hope not.

It does seem as if the channel is losing its luster. But the final years? I wouldn't think that The Weather Channel would suddenly end. The channel did get around 97 million viewers earlier this year during the winter storms. I don't know how much longform TWC shows these days, but it does seem as if they're losing some viewers.

This just came to me the other day, but anyone think this will affect Weatherscan's fate? Since it's essentially the same hardware (and likely the same feed) as the domestic IS. 

I think weatherscan can share the feed from the IS2 SD as well as the IS2 Jr. But since the IS1 is soon to abolish, you can't rule out that weatherscan intelliStars could become extinct as well as the IS1 units. Not sure what TWC has planned for the remaining weatherscan intelliStars.

Yes. My weatherscan did that last year. It was only a second though and everything would regenerate.
