General Discussion / Re: What's Your Speedtest and Pingtest results?
« on: July 14, 2018, 07:16:17 PM »
How in the world is the upload speed double what the download speed is? I didn't even think that was possible.
I'm honestly not sure how the upload is twice as fast as the download speed. Usually it's the other way around. I wonder how the time of your reply was before the time of my post :o

First time testing the internet speed at FAU. It's pretty fast and very reliable.

Perhaps my most favorite video is this test by cc17926. It may be incredibly short, but it makes me laugh every time.  :rofl2:

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: Tampa Weatherscan unit
« on: May 29, 2017, 06:40:29 PM »
You realize that was the unit you used to receive until early 2015, right? :bleh:

Yes, the unit ID is 26778. The image was captured on April 19, 2009.
I know, I know. It's just that the unit looked so much different back then. I wish I knew what it looked like when the unit was first installed

A couple of years ago, I somehow managed to find this image of weatherscan from a long time ago. I was wondering if anybody knows about this weatherscan unit and perhaps tell me when this photo was taken.

Here is my first speed test with my new cable provider, Spectrum. I've noticed that the speeds just aren't up to par in comparison to the speeds tested with Frontier.

Is this for real? The idea sounds like something the Onion might post.

Well, here's the press release, so I guess it's real.  Believe me, I was skeptical too when I first saw.

I'm jumping with joy right now. I must say, this is probably one of the most brilliant ideas TWC has come up with.

I agree. The coverage was splendid.  I was able to watch via the Local Now app and The Weather Channel's live coverage was spot-on! I ended up watching continuously for over one hour.

Emulator Videos / My IntelliStar Emulator Release
« on: August 08, 2016, 11:58:18 PM »
I have made many emulations of the intelliStar for over a year now. A few people have been asking me how I make certain aspects of my emulations. A few people have been asking for the actual emulator. I've been thinking things over for the past month or so and I've decided to release my emulator for public use.  2 weeks ago, I started building a zipped folder containing everything I could that I use in my emulations. Since people will need to know how to modify things, I'll be making a video showing how I make my emulations. I'm honestly very unsure about this idea of releasing my emulator, but I'd appreciate any feedback that you have. Stay tuned for the video... it'll most likely be up within this week. Thank you.
