« on: October 07, 2008, 03:59:29 PM »We got snow in our area on Christmas 2004. We barley get snow here.
Christmas started off on a bad note that year, because my grandma's house is over 80 years old, we still had a fusebox at the time and I just got a new computer and I got to use it Christmas Eve as an early present. 30 minutes later the power blew out. We had to go out to several stores that mangaged to stay open and find new fuses. When we came home Snow advisories were issued for Macon,Ga and south into Northern Florida!
everything stayed south of us it was just COLD and dry.

We usually get them every other winter. I don't want another one like the last one I almost busted by butt 10 times trying to come from the gas station with my mom. Somebody had to help us back up to our front porch because we were sliding so much on the ice.

The last time we had a major snowstorm in my neck of the woods was 6 years ago right after New Years, we picked up 6 inches and there was still snow in my backyard 2 weeks later! it was cold winter that year. We haven't had an icestorm in 3 years it was sleeting when I left school that Friday, we got close to 2 inches of ice that storm the worst so far this century.
