I wonder if HiRAD is capable of reporting Funnel Clouds and Tornadoes as a current weather observation though...

We had EAS bulletins interrupting regular programming when we got hit by a tornado 16 months ago, I t would have been really neat to see something like that on my IntelliStar that night, but knowing me I would have been freaking out at the same time.
I always wondered about that too. My area is sometimes under a tornado warning and all they show is a severe/heavy thunderstorm icon instead.

Up until this past week, all I ever saw was the Rain, Heavy Rain ,and Showers icons, it used to really tick my off because it was always wrong most of the time it was lightning and thundering like crazy and it would say showers in the vicinity and usually it was 20 minutes behind on updating to any kind of precip outside.

Speaking of the 4000, does anyone know about or even seen a tornado icon appear on the CC page before?

I don't think one even exists, it would be kinda hard to put something like that on a 4000 or any STAR unless they were definite there was one heading for that STAR's location.

The Game Room / Re: Duck Game

We got a good sized thunderduck last night.
Some of the ducks here were under flood warnings.

I'm under a Flash Flood Duck until 11:30pm tonight, some areas around town have picked up rain rates of 2 to 3 ducks an hour! :o

Is the boy and girl in this clip her children or students on a field trip to TWC studios?

today they actually used the Weekend Now theme, at least at 11:30
They used it again just now, too. :D

It's about time. <_< I hate it how Day Planner and Weekend Now never (until now :P) use their themes but random production music instead. Did the WN opener have its proper music, too?

The one time I wanted to get all 3 of these original show theme music openers and they  actually decide to play it while I don't have my tv tuner hooked up, I heard DP play their original theme music this past Friday at 1:00pm EDT

Contributions / Re: Weatherlover's IntelliStar Contributions
« on: July 11, 2009, 05:52:20 PM »
I was wondering, is it okay for me to contribute OCM segments in this thread instead of starting a new one? I have over a dozen segments of Carl, Heather, Alex, Nick, Viv, Adam, Kim, etc.

I forgot to mention, the videos are from this year, I wish I could have had some from year's past. :(

Emulator Videos / Re: SnowManiac's Emulations
« on: July 10, 2009, 06:14:17 PM »
It's been rather wet and cool this week, but that's expected to change some by the end of the weekend. See attached video below. The flavor lineup in this 4000 emulator is similar to the lineups being used now except that it includes the TCF.Features "For The Movies" by Lenny Marcus from his Bat in the Hat album.

Everything Else TWC / Re: TWC is now regretting being owned by NBC???

That's not their real page... I think this is their real one:

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/TheWeatherChannel?v=info&viewas=1015152596

I read the overview and it said TWC is seen in 98 million homes in the US, I thought they used to have like 120 million viewers a few months ago. Have they dropped that much in ratings? (not that I'm surprised)
