IntelliStar v4 Emulation Test Run

A FX flavor (I made up) using Dan Chandler narration I never heard before until I discover it on a audio clip from TWCC!  :o (www.twcclassics.com)

Wow, the 18z run of the GFS is working it's magic to create a fantasy tropical system making landfall in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico. The forecast discussion for Atlanta mentions the disagreements between the GFS and the Euro on this. It reminds me of the November storms we have had form like Hurricane Paloma in 2008 and Hurricane Kate in 1985, if not mistaken did make landfall in the Eastern Gulf.

.LONG TERM /FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY/...
MAIN PRECIP CHANCES WILL BE FRIDAY/FRIDAY NIGHT WITH THE COLD FRONT
FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA FRIDAY NIGHT/SATURDAY. A PERIOD OF
HEAVY RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED AND GENERALLY THE GFS IS MORE IN LINE
WITH THE EUROPEAN MODEL WITH THE BEST DYNAMICS TO THE NORTH. MOST
PRECIP WILL HAVE ENDED OR BE ENDING SATURDAY.

NO CONFIDENCE WITH THE FORECAST SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY AS THE GFS
AND EUROPEAN MODELS DIFFER GREATLY WITH THE EUROPEAN SPREADING
MOISTURE BACK OVER THE AREA SUNDAY WHILE BRINGING A TROPICAL SYSTEM
INTO THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO THROUGH TUESDAY.

Quote from: USA Today
Darby said most viewers on Friday night aren't interested in much more than the weekend forecast, and that will be updated on the screen six times an hour.

So apparently the LFs will still show during the movie.
Sounds like the L-Bar, not actual LFs.

At any rate, according to the Zap2It guide, Weather Center will still run from 7-8pm with the movie starting at 8, so we still have the 7pm hour on Friday available.

I agree, most likely it's gonna be the L-Bar they show, also imo it would have been better to just cut the last hour of WC at 9pm EDT. and if the movie(s) are being shown for 2 hours then until 11pm to cut into the first hour of WCWC so both shows equal out in airtime.

It's not a bad idea, but I don't have much faith in it lasting very long. :itsok:

Windchill got down to 36 here last night. Low 46. Insanely cold

Good time to change my avatar for the season

I was even colder than that, it got down to 37° and I think the wind chill was 30, but that was only because the clouds finally moved out and we had calm winds.

This idea just popped up, but what if the Junior had the changing backgrounds like the 3000 in the 80s did? Here's the result. :)

This is very nice Zach!
