Well, we have yet to experience even a quarter of the playlist so don't be complaining yet...

I'm not, all I have to do is hit Mute like I have been doing since November.

TWC Today News / Re: Local Across the 48s #6 Winter 2010 DELAYED

I am sure you all guessed it but we can now say it officially "new LDLs will be launched March 11th" So that is why a LAT48s is so critical for this day :)

So wait, this LDL is going to be on the IntelliStar too?

Hmm, I had actually heard it might be getting stronger by this summer.

Anyways, it never hit me until now, but I just realized two of the most active hurricane seasons happened during El Nino years (2004 & 2005).

I think I found the new icons. I REALLY hope these are weather.com versions.

http://www.weather.com/outlook/videos/albany-ny-forecast-665?from=video_email
FF to about 1:10, the new icons are on the automated 6 hour and extended pages.

Yep looks like new icons to me. Look at that sun one. Its just horrible. Precip ones aren't that bad.

Nice to see these local videos will get an update soon

Those icons do look more defined, they should not only update it on their website, but also on the IntelliStar. I also agree with what you said about the sun icons, they do look odd. I think they have too much shadow around them and they just looks like glowing circles.

General Discussion / Re: The Pot Belly Stove
« on: March 04, 2010, 03:51:13 PM »
Today, schools in most states are protesting against the huge budget cuts on education. California being the hardest hit iirc. I was assigned to cover this story but I came in unprepared.  :pinch: I didn't hear about this till when I dropped off my little sister to her school and some protester gave me a flyer (and a t-shirt but I didnt want the t-shirt :P). IVC is doing the same.

Why don't they use the money for the flyers and tshirts for something more productive. Its just my opinion but states have to cut money somewhere, especially CA. Health and eduction are huge drains and somewhere cuts have to be made. People aren't happy about it but neither are they happy about higher tax rates. Its a loose loose situation but a necessary one.

I don't know about other people, but I'm willing to pay higher taxes when it comes to health and education as long as it's not extremely outrageous.

Local Forecast / Re: When is the new playlist going to begin
« on: March 03, 2010, 05:23:13 PM »
I don't mind the bi or tri monthly playlists as long as it's a solid playlist being used. When they used to do that prior to 2000 the songs on the playlist were a very good mix, this one on the other hand is good, but the primetime part brings it down.
Daytime isn't good either. Hopefully my March list will take its place for now.

Yeah, but I think the primetime is worse.

Stephanie Abrams is such a busy woman.
Yeah, IMO, she's putting way too much stress on her.
I can't see how she manages to actually have a life with as much running around she does for TWC
Maybe work is life?   :dunno:

And maybe it's not stressful on her, which is why she takes on so much.

Probably so, if she was married or had kids, I doubt she would be taking on this much of a workload. It would be taking too much out of her personal/family life. Unless she enjoys being a workaholic.

It would be nice to see a longer flavor like the J Flvor, but I gotta agree with Tyler I doubt that will happen.

I have a gut feeling that this next storm system could end up being a doozy for the SE imp. I hope so, I want Winter to go out in a bang for us imp.
