Something tells me the clock will be added on eventually, I was also going to comment about how large the font was for the temp on the LDL this morning, but I see it's been fixed since I been at school today.

I like the LDL overall, but I wish it was shrunken down in height just a tad bit.

Nevermind, it's the same height as the blue LDL, I guess that was a glitch or they did it on purpose because of the Flood Warning crawl that was on screen.

I asked Lyons about how often something like this occurs:

"Only the second time in our satellite history dating back to about 1963 or so. The first was hurricane "Catarina" in 2004 in the same area and same month actuallly struck land near Santa Catarina (hence the unofficial name) with 100 mph winds. Many homes were damagaged, only 2 known deaths as far as I remember.
Dr. Steve"

That's interesting, I was wondering if any storms have ever formed this early in March before.
Hurricane Xeta formed in January 2006 in the north atlantic.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

The rain icons really look a mess. Those are the only ones that really bother me because they are too cartoony to me the other ones are ok like I said earlier. Also is it me or does the sun icons remind anyone of the sun 4000 icons they used on the Sat LF during that timeperiod?

Well for starters... the rain drops look like sleet pellets... can't tell what icons are snow, rain/snow, etc...

The rain one is the one that looks too cartoonish to me, the sun icons are OK.

Come again?
Look at the icons on the sidebar...
I personally don't think they're that bad, seem like a combination of pre and post 2006 icons :)
And I do like the new titlebars as well

Yeah, it does seem like they just took a mix of both sets. I think they are kinda too cartoonish looking, but who knows they may grow on me the set we have now has except for a few that still bother me because they just look bad.

Is anyone else having the issue with the scroll bar scrolling to the top of a long reply or PM every time you type a letter? It's incredibly annoying! :pinch:

Yes! I didn't say anything because I thought it was something with my computer.

Heres to a bad ass winter

Looks like this verified! Were there heavy rains though is southern FL?

After looking at that map again, I'm surprised how accurate it really was. They really nailed it from the MW to TX all the way up to NE. Not sure about the NW, but I'm assuming it probably did play out that way.

I thought this was interesting info on our wwinter here in GA. This is the 5th snowiest winter for my area.

How Cold/Snowy was the 2009-2010 Winter?

The average temperatures for the December 2009 - February 2010 period were among some of the coldest ever across north and central Georgia.  Each of the four climate sites - Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Athens Ben Epps Airport, Columbus Metropolitan  Airport and Macon/Middle Georgia Regional Airport - saw average temperatures among the ten coldest ever recorded.  The average temperatures Columbus had the 4th coldest average temperature for the winter season, while Macon tied for the 5th coldest, Atlanta was the eighth coldest and Athens tied for the ninth coldest winter season.

I'm going to record TWC beginning at 12 AM that day to try to catch the update while it's happening.

How do you know the update will even happen that early? It may not happen until as early as YWT or maybe even later.

Local Forecast / Re: New March List?
« on: March 06, 2010, 08:19:19 AM »
I agree. Thank god there's no Chris Geith or Boney James for a change. I actually submitted 3 albums to TWC back in early Februrary and I guess you can partly blame on me for the playlist delay....I sent them a list and the albums of songs to use and so far of the 10-12 albums i submitted, they used 3 in my list- Jim Adkins, Marty Q and David Wells

Eventhough he doesn't have a solo song he composed playing this month, he did composed something with someone else so technically he's still playing in this playlist and I wouldn't expect his music to stop playing anytime soon.

Another version of the Satellite LF design:

I like the overall design , but I think that purple wasn't the best choice. It looks a little "off" from the other colors.
