When I try to download it I get this

An Error Has Occurred!

Try it again, I edited a revised attachment because I noticed some goof ups with the names at the end of the story.

I'm not sure why I haven't posted this here, I already posted it on Molly's forum back in October. Back in 2006 I had an idea for my scripted story about what if one of my main characters ended up working for The Weather Channel because his boss bought out the network, ironically I wouldn't have imagined this would happen 2 years later..... So I guess this can considered fan fiction or maybe not since it came true. I wrote everything word from word off the top of my head which is very unusual because I write my rough drafts on notebook paper before typing them, but everything fell right into place so I skipped that process. Also somethings are dated for example, Kevin Robinson is in here because I typed this before his departure and I even poked fun at Bob Stokes. :P For those who read it, I hope you enjoy it!

OCMs featured in my story:
Jim Cantore
Alexandra Steele
Kevin Robinson
Mike Bettes (mentioned in name only; scene w/ dialog was cut)
Stephanie Abrams (same as Mike Bettes)
Nicole Mitchell
Paul Goodloe (mentioned in name only)
Heather Tesch (Has an interesting altercation w/ Nicole)
Bob Stokes (For sexual harassment references jokes)

Note: This is still my rough draft, I left out a small scene because the story was running long and I had to make cuts.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Steve Lyons leaving TWC
« on: April 17, 2010, 09:14:18 PM »
Yet another one bites the dust. :(  Well it was great having Dr. Lyons' expertise during Hurricane Season especially during storms like Katrina. My eyes were glued to the TV like clockwork watching that monster come in and him explain what was going to unfold in these hurricanes. He'll certainly be missed and I wish him luck at his new NWS job in Texas.  :)

I was gonna watch AMW tonight on FOX, but they have a baseball game between the Cardinals and the Mets on tonight. I'm not a baseball fan, but when I turned it on both teams had 0 points and are in the 14th inning of overtime WTF?  They must be very sorry teams. :P

EDIT: I just checked a minute ago it's still the same score and they're in the 16th inning! If anyone here is watching that game can you please pray that one of those teams at least get 1 point before the night is over with!

Sam & Betty on DP
They're reunited! :run: :fire: :P

Wow, long time no see. I'm glad I'm not watching.
haha!

I tend to tune out when Samantha Mohr is on.  I am just not feeling her presentation.  Betty Davis is great, however!

I agree, I like Betty a lot, she's is my favorite OCM now. She seems to be more happy and energetic since she's been on WV w/ Kelly.

Emulated TWC Logo Tag (After Effects)

It's not the best, but I guess it isn't bad for someone who still doesn't know exactly what they're doing.  :P

When did TWC have the green logo after the graphics update?

Seems to be a logo test for Next week

I agree. Earth Day is next Thursday, and I can highly assure you there may be a surprise "Green is Universal" week next week. Just a guess.

Your probably right, I saw a promo about USA's logo going green all next week yesterday.

Local Forecast / Re: LDL Ads (Suggestion)
« on: April 14, 2010, 09:31:16 PM »
Seriously? Of course they probably thought of this. However the method they use now makes it easier on TWCs end to push advertising. Plus TWC wants to show ads to people not on the IS too. Why send ads to the IS when they are already being shown on screen for legacy STAR viewers?
Why not just move the ad back to the upper-right corner like how it was during the chromakey days? This would end the issues altogether, and you can still see the logos just as good.
Where do your eyes travel to when you are looking at the TV screen on TWC? MOST viewers are looking at their local forecast on the LDL and are going to view the ad more. I kid you not this plays a roll in how they do stuff. TWC is known for testing every little aspect of their network with study groups. Ads stuck in the local wx will get viewed more with more attention payed to it. Plus they spent money and time creating a brand new ldl with a special place for it. Doubt they want to say.... oops well that didn't work!
Wow, I just miss the days where networks were more concerned about the purpose of them. Seems all networks care about is money, money, and more money. :/

As sad as it is, Money makes the world go around.  :hmm:  :(

Local Forecast / Re: Should Memphis Get Traffic On The IntelliSTAR?
« on: April 14, 2010, 06:53:51 PM »
I gotta ask this, why the heck did they bother using traffic.com when it doesn't even cover half of the country? :dunno: I think it's odd that Salt Lake City gets traffic, but not Memphis or nowhere in MS does...
