I nearly JUST fainted. I heard "Wishbone" by Physical Therapy from 1995 at :48. Talk about a blast from the past!
This rocks in so many ways I can't even comprehend.

What are the times for the different dayparts again?

Morning - 6am - 11am
Daytime - 11am - 5pm
Primetime - 5pm - 1am
Overnight - 1am - 6am

General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch

Oh my Goodness, my neighbor's house just burnt to the ground. They lost everything, even the family dog.   :(
Thats horrible! Electrical fire?

Yep. A cord was hanging out of the socket, but was in the socket enough to get an electrical charge. Sadly, the outlet was behind a long curtain, which over time, cued a spark from the exposed prongs, starting a fire. Even more sadly, no one was home, and no one would be home for the next 3 hours, leaving the family dog to burn.

That's terrible!  :( I can't imagine the emotions of pain and grief they must be going through right now.  I figured this probably was caused by an electrical problem because most accidental fires are started from an electrical problem and lightning.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but is it me or does that new Chris Geith song sound very similar to "Groove Detective"?

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Colin

Quick Question: What would make Colin go further west longer than forecasted right now? Would it have to be stronger or weaker than expected?

This season is starting to suck like last year's hurricane season which is good and bad. Good because it means the US is being spared so far from anything too extreme and bad because there's nothing interesting to track w/o it falling apart, being too weak, or being a fish storm.  :( :hmm:
It's too early to really judge the season as a whole. Things certainly can change before the end of the season.

I know, I'm just saying it's off to about the same pace as last year was. Don't get me wrong, I still think it could be almost as active as 2004 was in the coming weeks. It just bothers me to hear all the hype there was about it being very active the whole season with as many as 23 storms, and how it's gonna be as bad or worse than 2005 when in reality it's been fairly quiet so far....

We have Charter here, but ironically it doesn't cover the Atlanta area itself only the suburban towns right outside the city's perimeter.

The morning is full of repeats, but good repeats I guess, but there was one new song at 9:08am that sounds like something you would hear on Spongebob Squarepants to me and another one at 9:38am. I'm happy to hear Daydreamer during the day instead of like at 5 in the morning when I can't sleep.

Ive asked before that topics regarding playlists not be started until after the playlist starts

I believe the playlist has started now and on time. I'm impressed.  I heard Ryan Farish's "Sunshine in the Rain" and 4 other songs in the overnight I have no idea of the artist or title.

Hurricane Central / Re: Invest 91L

I suspect this will a depression no later than 5am tomorrow. I saw an interesting 12z run of the GFS today and what I believe is supposed to be Invest 91L making landfall along the GA/FL coast and stalling over GA for about 36 hrs before it moves into the Carolinas and OTS. I know it's far out and it's gonna change a million times, but that's a scenario I'm gonna keep in the back of my mind because it hits the GA coast that will be the first time that's happened since Hurricane David in 1979!

"With You" is from Ficara's first album, "Tribal Jazz." It was widely available at one time, but I guess all of their work is now unavailable.

Why does an Artist make their music unavailable?  It makes no sense to make the music unavailable so new listeners can't get it.

Oh how I wish they didn't. :( I would love to have all of Booby Love's songs that have played particularly "Filison".
