OCMs & Personalities / Re: List by seniority

IMO, Steph and Mike should be last since they are a lot newer than the rest. They both came to TWC around 2003.

Well he has Adam listed too so that would automatically make him last on the list since he joined back in 2005.

Many of the original and near original OCM are gone. I'm trying to list by seniority. I leaving out the newbies as I couldn't even venture a guess. How close I'm? (from most seniority)

1. Cantore, Morrow, Brown (lumping them together)
2. Mike Seidel
3. Kim Cunningham
4, Heather Tesch
5. Kelly Cass
6. Nicole Mitchell
7. Stephanie Abrams
8. Mike Bettes
9. Alexandra Steel
10. Nick Walker
11. Carl Parker
12. Adam Berg
13. Paul Goodloe
14. Jen Carfagno

If you're listing in order, Nick Walker should be up under Kim, he's been there since the mid 90's iirc and Carl, Paul, and Jen should be after Kelly Cass since they all arrived around the same time in the late 90's.

NOTE - If you hear a very faint voice at the beginning of this you're not hearing things, I turned it down too low thinking I was turning it up.

So far I got about 75% of the transition done, but I need to work on faster timing and revising some of the fade transitions.

Fall 2010/Winter 2011 Updates
Transitions/animations on all slides/icons
All IS icons will be replaced with XL icons
Almanac screen will be added (the current IS almanac screen is temporarily being used until I right one for this version.)
Radar?
NOAA Logo to be added to weather bulletin

I have a ton of A&B:BTF moments that I remember. Especially the ones from 2006-2008 (before the transition to HD). But, if I were to choose one, it would totally be when Miss America 2007 came to do the forecast with Mike Bettes, and she crowned him as if he was the new Miss America! I know there was a video on TWC but it's not on there anymore :( .

Oh, and this: (video courtesy of kpetree10)

I have that video on my account.

I thought I would start this thread off with a well known Heather Tesch greeting. Here are some highlights I got of the Heather/Carl duo during the summer last year on Day Planner.

First Clip

Heather Tesch talks "Dog Surfing" and mentions how her co anchor Carl doesn't like to take baths like one of her dogs at home.

Carl has a conspiracy theory on why Fresno, CA has never seen rain on June 21st since 1878. He also does the West Coast Forecast

-Heather talks about beach fees on Rhode Island beaches, she also does the Northeast forecast
Original Air Date: June 22, 2009

Day Planner - June 22, 2009 1:40pm

Second Clip

Carl makes fun of Heather leaving her car windows cracked while a pop up thunderstorm is headed right over The Weather Channel studios. She tells Carl she was taking a gamble on it which Carl replies, "It ain't good
dawg."
Original Air Date: June 22, 2009

Day Planner - June 22, 2009 1:20pm

Third Clip

Stephanie wants everyone to shimmy out the door with her in the mornings, but Mike would rather listen to some blues...
Original Air date: June 22, 2009 A&B's debut to YWT.

Shimmy Your Shoulders!

If you have any photos, videos, or memories of any good moments you witnessed from your favorite OCM's feel free to share them here!  :)

Something Is Seriously Wrong With This IntelliStar...

I'm not sure if it's upgrading or downgrading...  :P

On a serious note, this is just a test video for the different animations I'm experimenting with and the ad crawl which for some reason is scrolling backwards!

December 17-18. I'm not in the mood for Christmas music yet before then, plus the holiday playlists have always started around that time since 1999. BTW, why is the poll set so it closes on September 30th?

I always get into the mood for Christmas music as soon as November rolls around, but I think around the 12th - 15th is better.

Is this a national thing? Our NBC affiliate also does the news for MyAtlTV here at 10pm on weeknights and our CBS affiliate is with theCW.

I think December 25 is too early for the holiday playlist to end. I think it should end December 31. In addition, January is too late for the playlist to end.

...but Christmas would be over by then.  :noexpression: December 26th is ok.

True, but it shouldn't end so early on Christmas like it has been at noon or 1, it should keeping going until Christmas night sometime during the primetime list and then transition back over to the regular playlist.

Hurricane Central / Re: Hurricane Central 2010
« on: August 17, 2010, 09:28:46 PM »
Well, I know that people really don't want hurricanes, and this is a pretty stupid wish, but I really hope the season starts getting active now and we see some strong hurricanes soon. It's really fun to watch where they are going to go, and even though TWC will have a huge fit over any hurricane of any strength, I'm getting a little tired of these small, short-lasting storms during a "hurricane season that is supposed to be as active as 2005." Wouldn't that really be something if these predictions were totally off. But I know we are now just reaching the "peak" of hurricane season, so hopefully we'll get some activity soon! :D

Thanks for providing the models, Tavores...they look really interesting.

You're welcome and I agree, I don't want any of those things either. I just want something to form so there can be something to track worthwhile. Also the 18z run of that model I posted has a completely different track (which I knew was gonna be the case this far out anyway) has the same hurricane only stronger at 974mb IIRC would be major hurricane strength scrapping by New England.
