^ I don't know why, but hearing that song Amazing Grace by Trammell Starks sounds like something that could have been production music for a morning show like Good Morning America for example.

-Final Draft of moon designs for the moon phase section of the almanac. :thumbsup:

Song: "Freedomland" by The Yellowjackets (This song was featured on the June 2000 Playlist, which is why I chose it for this emulation. :) )

TWC Fan Art / Re: WeatherSTAR's Art

Here's a WS3000 for Gulfport, MS.
Note: I didn't fill in the time, and I couldn't find the monthly precip. :whistling:

If you go to weather.com, go to a selected city, and click on the Monthly tab on the left side you can get the precipitation data for the current month/average.

Nice work btw. ;)

Congrats to Jeff! Nashville is in great hands with him being there.  :clap:

Before I report this, I'm curious if anyone else is having this issue. On the SD feed of TWC there is once again no video feed only a LDL overlayed on screen. The only time video is shown is when the local forecast is airing, in addition, no audio is present during the local forecast except the narration. On the HD feed meanwhile, everything is fine from the audio to the video feed.

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: Weatherscan Topic

They seriously keep track of ratings for channels like Weatherscan? What's the point?  :dunno: It's not like it's expected that people are just sitting there looking at it for hours on end.

General Discussion / Re: Casey Kasem Dies at 82
« on: June 15, 2014, 11:18:39 PM »
I don't know why but a few weeks ago when I heard about all this bizarre family drama of Casey had gone missing and fighting for custody over his well being, for some reason I felt like his days may have been numbered. There were a lot of reports that he had been very ill recently. I wonder how long he had been ill because the Yahoo! article I read this morning said he was suffering from Parkinson's and Dementia and his last work was providing the voice for Shaggy's dad back in 2010. I guess it must of have been not too long after that.

Unfortunately, we've lost legendary greats in fours, instead of threes over the past month: Maya Angelou, Ann B. Davis, Ruby Dee, and now Casey Kasem. :(

Hey everyone!

Haven't been on here in a while and haven't kept touch with some. Been kinda busy lately. Now that school is over, I have more free time. Last couple of weeks have been crazy with finals, getting into a car accident, getting rejected, getting very sick and throwing up over 10 times etc. But to be honest, I never been happier in my life before and I'm enjoying it. Looking forward to getting back onto this forum again.  :wave:

Wow, you sure have been through a lot, glad to see you're doing better now.  :wave:

I don't think I've ever seen a TV network remodel a studio as frequently as the TWC does. Sheesh.

That explains the BG of the salt shaker lying flat on a table I saw this morning. I thought that was a strange BG, I forgot today was Friday the 13th at the time.

I have received confirmation through a tweet that "vocals have been permanently removed"

I believe that statement about as much as I can jump off the roof of my house and start flying. The vocals may disappear for a while, whether it be months, or a number of years, but they'll be back again. They're always gonna keep "experimenting". :rolleyes: I'm curious why after nearly 2 1/2 years they "suddenly" want to go in a new direction with their selection of music again. I doubt it's because viewers complained, it wouldn't have taken this long to make changes again.

Speaking of the LF in general, when are they ever going to come to the table about adding more forecast products? I don't mind the LFs being 1 minute long, but for pete sakes add some freakin' variety to the lineup already. Throw in some metro/regional maps, almanac, climate data, something! I'm not saying they should cram all of that into 1 minute, but it wouldn't hurt to have each LF display different information throughout the hour like it used to be.

Hurricane Central / Re: Hurricane Central 2014
« on: June 07, 2014, 01:37:08 AM »
1. Updated:  Surface observations and reports from an Air Force Reserve
reconnaissance aircraft indicate that the center of the low pressure
system near Vera Cruz is just inland.  However, some chance for
development still remains because the center is very near the coast
and a slow and erratic motion is possible overnight.  Regardless of
whether any development occurs, this system will continue to produce
gusty winds and heavy rains, along with life-threatening flash
floods and mud slides, over portions of southeastern and eastern
Mexico during the next day or two.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.
