Wow so Jim is actually going to Bermuda. Surprised TWC would bother
cause technology advances practically everyday.
But why should The Weather Channel spend money and resources on developing a new SD Star when standard television has, at least in the opinion of the government, become obsolete? Even cable/satellite operators aren't going to be required to carry them for much longer (but probably will, at least for the foreseeable future, since HDTV sets are quite expensive).

Well, to be technical, in this case Igor is a he since Hermine was a she(if you didn't know, the names alternate he/she). I thought a couple weeks ago with a name like Igor, that's something to watch out for and it may be a scary one.
I'm not ready to call fish storm on Igor yet, but that seems to be the trend with these Cape Verde storms. It's too soon she's only going 6mph. She ain't rushing to get anywhere anytime soon.Is Igor a sheI think it's gonna depend on whether or not another trough moves in over the Atlantic and Igor takes advantage of a weakness and curves on out.
What a strange name anyway for a storm
Yesterday our NBC affiliate WXIA-TV debuted a new weather product called the "W.I.Z" (Weather Information Zone) where viewers can rate the weather and other stuff online or on their phones. They ran promos for weeks that were saying, "Soon, Your Days Will Be Numbered." Did any other NBC affiliates associated w/ Gannett get some kind of product like this?

Got to be one of the dumbest things I have seen in a long time. TWC did something like that but they didn't promo it to death like this. Please get the name of whoever does their graphics and fire them. It looks like powerpoint!
Tornado sirens currently going off in my area for a strong cell to the east. I don't think the tornado will affect where I live, but I hope this blows over soon.
