7Day Forecast

Very nice! Only thing is I'm not sure about the yellow/orange type color, I think I would have used a different color.

Just a heads up... I received a warning/strike from YouTube for having Walking Through by Kaya Project, which is affiliated with the company Love Cat Music. So I advise those who have this song up to remove it to avoid a warning.

Thanks for informing us, I couldn't remember if I had a video of it up, but I checked and deleted it. I already have 1 strike I don't need another one.

Also is this why the other day in the web address it said beta.weather.com eventhough it doesn't say beta on the site? Tonight it says preview.weather.com.

http://preview.weather.com/weather/5-day/Atlanta+GA+USGA0028

Just replace "preview" with "www" in the url.

It automatically puts preview in the web address when you type it as www.weather.com

TWC's 10 day forecast may be getting changed graphically to something similar to the experimental 5 day forecast that showed up this week. Also is this why the other day in the web address it said beta.weather.com eventhough it doesn't say beta on the site? Tonight it says preview.weather.com.

Local Forecast / Re: Christmas/Holiday 2010 Playlist
« on: December 09, 2010, 07:34:14 PM »
Good list, but it's missing a song.  And even I'll complain to TWC that it's not playing.
Linus and Lucy on back-to-back local forcasts.  <_< That song is played too much.

I like Linus and Lucy!!!  That is not only a classic TWC Christmas song, but a classic Christmas song period.

True, but he's right it has played too much. I've heard it four times today, three times within the past 40 minutes.

This is why some of you guys (not you Zach) shouldn't be pelting TWC with emails to start the list early...they started early and now we get a half-assed list.
Seriously? You think TWC actually listens to any of you in regards to starting these playlist? I think you are lucky if they even look at an artist someone recommends. I can't believe you think the playlist would be magically better if it started a week later. How can you tell by looking at a list of songs that it was rushed.  The Weather Channel could care less what a niche group of music fanatics think about their playlists.
You're incapable of seeing a missing morning daypart?

So what? What does that have to do with anything? :dunno: Maybe they just didn't want to have a morning playlist or didn't want to use over 40 songs so they decided to revert back to the way it was. That doesn't mean no effort was made into putting the list together. I really think you're grasping for straws on this one.

Honestly, that song needed a break. 19 years was long enough.
Scratch dat. :P Theres still We Three kings

Also, is there a morning daypart?

No Carol of the Bells by the Trans Siberian Orchestra?
Or David Foster :ermm: Also, wheres Holiday Dance
nope no morning daypart, which had the better songs. It's just the same old and same old.

I don't understand what the complaints are all about, I don't consider this a bad playlist at all. I don't like that there are duplicates *coughs* "Linus & Lucy", there could be other songs there. Speaking of Linus and Lucy, why is it that the very first song I hear when the Christmas list starts is Linus and Lucy? That was the very first song I ever heard on TWC. I think it's good they bothered to do one period, it could be like it was in '97 or '98 where there was no Christmas list at all.

Honestly, that song needed a break. 19 years was long enough.

I don't agree with that, it's a tradition just like "Linus and Lucy" is with the exception of two years it didn't play

I was gonna post about this yesterday, but I forgot. I like it.

You should upload clips too if you can?

Excuse the skipping in the first clip, my TV tuner was having one of it's days tonight. Also is the traffic products being removed temporary or for good? Because I would be happy if they were gone for good, it gives the other forecast products more attention.

Old Man Winter About to Give the South The Cold Finger

3925
(Sighs) For the second time this week, I missed out on my first snowfall because it was too doggone dry!  :( Well at least some areas in the South managed to see snow today like Macon, Warner Robbins, and Montgomery so that's good.   :)

General Weather Chat / Re: More Cold Air On the Way

It's early, but I guess if it's gonna be this cold it might as well be record territory. I might see single digits for lows next week, that will challenge or break records. A first time of single digit lows since 2003. Fun times ahead...

3928
I wish we could have a White Christmas here. It never happens. :(

With all of this cold air hanging on tight, it would be a shame not to have one in the South this year.
You might be right that it could snow in the south... my dad was actually making a tragic thought earlier at dinner that it may indeed snow here

Did you get to hear what Jim Cantore said about my area next Monday? He said if there's any snowcover in TN, KY, MO, KS, etc. from this weekend's storm he believes the high of 30° forecasted for us will be more like 20°!! That's scary COLD! It's hasn't been that cold in December since December 1989! and our local ABC Chief Meteorologist Glenn Burns said he believes we will see a string of days where the low will be in the single digits! That would be record territory not reached since January 2003 when we dipped down to a low of 8° one day that month. He also said he doesn't expect this cold snap to end for several weeks, only the occasional brief warm up should up between storm systems.
