I was watching MSNBC and breaking news came on that there was a bomb plot by a 17-year-old at Freedom High School in Tampa. Weird thing is, none of the local stations have broke the news yet. I guess they're waiting till 12.  :hmm:
Have any actually broken in yet? I just turned on my TV to 13 to see if they have.. glad I dont go to Freedom though..

I know this was this morning, but I'm gonna assume they're talking about it locally there on the news now right. I saw it on the local news here.

For about the 9th straight run in a row the GFS still shows a US threat for the timeframe mentioned in my above post and the past 4 runs today alone continue to show the Gulf Coast under the bullet. It's long range, but that's pretty remarkable. I wonder how long this streak will keep going on the GFS The track hasn't changed drastically either as would be expected in this range. :o I might even get hurricane force winds out of this run.  The only thing worse than not knowing what will happen is having to wait til short term to see if it happens.

Weather Bulletin

Does there have to be such an extreme gradient from red to black?  Maybe from red to a dark red would look better than the larger change from red to black.

Here's the original version I made.

LONG RANGE (10 DAYS OUT)

GFS, EURO, AND CMC in agreement of an East Coast Threat for Late August. (0z Runs) CMC is the fastest with the disturbance.

As a bonus....
Farmer's Almanac Forecast for Southeast US.
August 2011
16th-19th. Scattered thunderstorms.
20th-23rd. Pleasant, turning unsettled.
24th-27th. Hazy and humid, with scattered thunderstorms.
28th-31st. Hot and steamy. A hurricane threat for the Southeast.

It'll be interesting to see if the FA is accurate on their long range forecast. Because it's long range, there's still plenty of questions than answers on what will happen, but after reading that forecast on FA, I thought I post this since the dates are aligned with eachother.

I'll be out for the next few days as I move out of my home in South Carolina and into my new one: a cramped dorm room in Grand Forks, North Dakota, which I will call home for the next 4.5-5 years. I'll hopefully be back on the forums by Saturday.

Good luck on your transition to your new home and safe travels!

Yeah, I've always hated how all the offices have their own layout, especially those part of the Western Region which has a strange layout compared to the other three regions (not sure why). They all should use the same format to make it easier to navigate.

I also hate that, sometimes I don't bother clicking on those regions, I just type in the location I'm looking for so I can go directly to that page.

I ran across this article this morning, Warren Buffett, one of the richest men in the world urges congress to stop babying the rich and raise taxes on the rich to reduce the deficit.

It's only mid August, but I figured I would go ahead and come up with some intros for my 25 D.O.C. Special. I don't want to make the same mistake I made back in 2008 when I first attempted this. This is one of the three I've been working on, it's also the best one to me so far.
