Obviously the specific reason for her layoff is private and none of my business, but if it was, for any reason, the lack of personality or being too dull, then they need to get rid of Crystal Egger and Chris Warren pronto.

How long was Samantha Mohr at TWC?  For some reason, I don't think it was that long, certainly not as long as some of the veteran meteorologists who were laid off.  And, although we have now received official confirmation from Martin, I would almost want to leave myself if I was demoted from being on Weekend View, to being a freelancer at TWC, to only doing weather.com forecasts.  But maybe this was all just the "phase" TWC sent her through of being laid off.

She probably left on her own terms.

I agree, the setup to her departure doesn't appear to be the same as it was for the others that have been let go by the network. I don't know if she had to take any pay cut or anything, but I wouldn't take having to have your duties focused mainly on forecasting on weather.com videos being a promotion of any sort, if anything I would take that as being a demotion. It seems like one of those situations where if you don't leave on your own terms, then you'll have to leave on the network's terms sooner than later.

During the 10AM Repeat of WUWA, they accidentally showed yesterday's episode. It took about 1 minute for them to realize it and they cut to a Live Weather Update with Mike Bettes until the commercial break. Everything was back to normal after the LF and they showed today's episode.

lol That's a major oops.

OK guys, here I go again with making posts before thinking twice. For some reason whenever I type weather.com into my browser, I am automatically re-directed to beta.weather.com.  This new design was on the front page of beta.weather.com.

So I guess the design really was in beta.   Sorry for the confusion.  I have no idea if this will roll out eventually or not.

Ah, now I see it, still don't like it though.

I moved into the first house of my own about a month ago. During the five or so years I was at my apartment, I was without a local forecast and didn't get TWC HD. Now that I'm in a covered area, I have Cox Cable again. I was bored today (there never seems to be anything on when I want to watch TV) and tuned to TWC. Needless to say I was amazed. Aside from the logo, three OCMs, and parts of the Intellistar, there was NOTHING about the channel that I recognized! Then I tuned into TWC HD (I had to purchase a new TV when I moved). The clarity is nice, but WOW! Talk about sensory overload!! I swear, there wasn't a graphic on it that wasn't animated! It was so rediculous that I actually laughed out loud at some of it. For example, on the 5 day outlook, there's a neon snake (as best I can describe) that goes up and down where the temperatures are listed. What exactly is the point of that?
